Wanting to then develop the sketches further still I did some research into colour charts and contrasting colours to add more atmosphere.

I had seen a graphic artist using paint-splats before so trialled incorporating them into the design. I felt the splat added much more emphasis and dramatics to the piece so it became a fixed development.

Every week we do a day of visual studies, as a class we all hung our garments up on to a washing line to draw from, these are 1 minute drawings of two different shirts using white and black ink.
