It lives throughout the North American continent, except in areas of unbroken forest or the high arctic. I must admit this hasn’t been the first time to have experienced this unique bonding, when the bird accepted my presence and wouldn’t fly away. Call it “interspecies communication" if you wish, or telepathy - I don’t know (smile).
After taking a few good shots with my 400mm f5.6, I have decided to take the chance and switch lenses, for a shallower DOF. The cute owl didn't move a bit. I must admit having experienced a feeling of acceptance and trust. I gave the owl its space by not getting too close.

Didn't have to venture out very far to capture the early morning delights. Buds, blossoms and leaves are finally "popping" announcing that spring is here in the heartland!
The variety of colors, shapes and size makes a walk in the woods worth the effort!

An ominous view over Clear Lake yesterday morning as the weather forecast was predicting freezing rain, sleet mixed with snow for our area starting late last night!
Well guess what? The weather man must know what he is doing because that is just what we are experiencing here this morning!

fast concept, today I get idea, get a beautiful girl then click click click, then home, finding pictures so I can manipulate my idea, and I have a visual concept to see what i need to get ready peace of art :) .

Despite wind gust of over fifty miles an hour, tranquility and calm prevailed as I climbed Kane Mountain's 98 year old fire tower. The views are of a small corner of the southern Adirondack mountains, but amazing from any direction. Located near Caroga Lake, New York in the 518. Pentax.
Siphonaptera are an interesting group of parasitic insects. They’re also known as fleas.
Which has nothing at all to do with the picture save that the flower is a type of Erigeron called Mexican Fleabane.
I took this up by the church today. The presence of this plant puzzles. As far as I know there are no Mexicans in the village… and, although I am South American I can assure you I don’t have fleas. So why would the church have fleabane planted nearby? Ah well… the puzzles of rural life.
The plant is better called gardenersbane I think as it can be invasive: it self-sows as if there is no tomorrow (which, on reflection, is probably true if I am around :) ).
The picture is a ten-image in-camera multiple-exposure using the twist-click-twist-click technique which I have been having a lot of fun with recently (and that should serve as a warning for the wary!).
This is for the Friday Flora group and also my 100x project on Motion today as it involves camera motion.
PS Sorry for the title: the creative juices tonight were somewhat... juiced :(

An image taken when I was in New Mexico photographing an Indian Day School in Sanostee, near Ship Rock. It was a pretty breezy evening with red dust blowing. I turned around to get the wind out of my face, and this is the view I saw. That's Mitten Rock on the right and the road is Indian Service Rte 13 heading towards Arizona.

Rarely am I so confused about the situation when I was taking a picture.
One day I ran into the Łódź Photo Festival. There was a looped film projection in one of the side rooms. Two young people watched it. The scene looked compositionally ok (although it was very dark) so I photographed it. My frustration in the subject of the description comes from the transmission of the material, for me it reminded me of an endoscope inserted into a tube. Maybe I don't know much about art or maybe I'm just not in the target group of recipients of this film material (even for sure).

Japanese Itoh hybrid peonies (intersectional peonies) are a cross between tree and herbaceous peonies, offering the best traits of both: large, 8-inch, long-lasting flowers (yellows, reds, pinks, corals) on strong, 3-foot shrubby stems that don't need staking. They are extremely cold-hardy, disease-resistant, and bloom for 3–4 weeks.
Coral Sunset Intersectional Itoh Peony .
A sunset in a flower! Aptly named for its awe-inspiring transformation from a radiant, vivid coral through a range of peaches, and finally, a creamy white colour, the flower is a masterpiece at every step of this sunset, and one might argue a bloom only improves with age. Unique from other coral varieties in that it opens with the most intense coral colour and has petals that are more ruffled, which perhaps contribute to a fuller appearance. Has a lower, more compact growing habit than Coral Charm. Mass plantings are recommended as flowers at different colour stages provide a visual riot in the landscape.
Side buds are possible, extending the bloom period. A favourite of the peony garden, this outstanding peony produces intense sunset coral, semi-double blossoms with rose overtones and a fluffy deep yellow stamens in the center. The lightly fragrant flowers are long lasting in fresh bouquets. ‘Coral Sunset’ blooms early in the peony season, around late spring in Ontario It is highly prized for its exemplary plant habit. and by florist as cut flower in bouquets.

In dreams, I see shapes and colors like these and I hear music as the shapes and colors change. It seems perfect to imagine those feelings and sensations with fractals.
Sometimes, there is visual hunger, a need to see beauty and then, when it happens, a kind of euphoric wave is pulsating through my veins - and I must try to keep this moment and not let it get away. I don't know what this beautiful plant is and whether it actually is genuine to Cyprus, but feeding my visual hunger it is. Fuji X100F.
