During the past 7 days a Robin has built a nest in the Trumpet Vine we have growing up our deck. I shot these video clips through the dinning room glass door. It’s about a dozen clips from the week combined and played at 2x speed to shorten the time.
After photographing the thin crescent Moon on Saturday evening, I spent a few hours doing some astronomy. While doing this, I set the camera up on a tripod doing repeated 10 sec exposures (Samyang 24mm @ f/2.2 and 3200 iso), and then put together this timelapse sequence. This is 4 hrs in 37 seconds.
Fagradalsfjall is a volcano on the Reykjanes Peninsula, around 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Reykjavík, Iceland. Its highest summit is Langhóll (385 m (1,263 ft)). A volcanic eruption began on 19 March 2021 in Geldingadalir to the south of Fagradalsfjall, which is still emitting fresh lava as of today.
Along with another photographer, I hiked out to Eagle Rock in the Warner Springs neighborhood of San Diego County and shot a sunset and Milky Way time lapse.
It's amazing how much this naturally formed cluster of rocks resembles an eagle.

We were treated to an epic sunset and then the clouds mostly moved out of the way in time to reveal the Milky Way. There were lots of tiny clouds that kept changing shapes and moving along throughout the night - causing flicker effects on the rocks as they passed in front of the moon.
I shot this with a Canon 6D, Tokina 17-35mm, Canon 50mm, and my good ol' Sigma 15mm EX DG. 1381 exposures total - at varied shutter speeds and apertures.

I am just now culling the rest of the video I shot last November at Bosque. When I saw this clip of the sun reaching the cranes and geese at "the crane pond," I thought it would make a great timelapse. No sound, no frills, just a quick little share of this special place. Shot in 4K using a legacy Nikon 105mm on the GH4.
