This was my best find and best video of the recent storm chasing. This flood was really amazing. Normally all the water should flow underground here but it was clogged or overwhelmed.

This is right next to Carmel Country Rd where the 56 freeway is, this trail system follows the valley and the freeway. I've never seen it flooded like this but I aways wanted to see it. You have to be there quick when the flood waters come because they don't last long in this valley.

The red and orange colors of the lava are a magnet to the eye, especially when combined with the usual black volcanic earth all around , lava hisses, crackles and sizzles. here is a close video ,with sound
