SANY0293: Video of rain falling on a rainy night, coming down through the eves troughing. Shot at ISO 1600 for a noisy night vision effect. Added glow for a ghostly effect. Inspired by the movie "Aliens" (as seen by the Colonial Marines helmet cameras).
I made a few clips quite awhile back of my two little kitties chasing the laser toy beam. Nala still goes crazy when I open the drawer in my computer desk where I keep it. Anyway, here are two short video clips of the laser chase, with some background music. The second with Buddy as the star is in slo-mo. Gotta love these two felines. They are not so buddy-buddy now, but we do have our laughs and snuggles.
I have again re-edited another of my old movie of Kestrels, I took the movie and photos in Qatar several years ago, I must warn you some may find some of the content a little gruesome, but that's nature, that is cruel to species lower in the food chain.
4K Video (downsized to 1080p for online posting), SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera), so no edits/post-processing, no sound effects nor background music. Just pure nature as the sun casts its golden glow on the water! :)

A very rainy day today, the forge chimney leaks creating steam and atmosphere as the drips run down the side of the copper hood. The sculpture is coming along slowly but surely took it all apart again today to change some angles and make it more 3D which was very good as I like it a lot more now. Still a lot of work left, got to keep forging ahead.
This is the video summarising the 52 weeks challenge by Dade Freeman. An excellent challenge where I learnt a lot. I hope you like the results after all the hard work of these last 52 weeks.

On my visit to Mongolia we stayed with nomadic herders who welcomed us with food, drink and a cultural display. five men gave a memorable performance on their two stringed horse head fiddles, while one sang several double throat songs. This video features one such song. The sounds may be unfamiliar, but his performance was stellar.

I was in my blind videoing a bird bathing when I heard the loud complaint of a Great Egret as a second bird chased him from his hunting spot. We have exactly one Egret that stays here each winter, but occasionally a second bird will arrive, and there is always a territorial dispute. I only caught his landing, but thought it was so graceful in slow-motion that it was worth sharing.

Einer, der Westbahnhof als eines seiner drei vorherrschenden Themen nennt und viele Fotos vom Westbahnhof in seinem Stream zeigt, hat nicht ein einziges Foto zum Thema Flüchtlinge, das den Westbahnhof 2015 beherrschte - Ein Beispiel für das, was Schmid in diesem Interview sagt:
"Sie bezeichnen die Lobpreisungen des Glücks zumindest teilweise als asozial. Wie meinen Sie das genau?
Schmid: Wie das vorhin schon angeklungen ist: wenn Menschen sich in ihrem Leben nach subjektiver Sicht sehr glücklich und zufrieden fühlen, dann wollen sie nicht gerne, dass sich da etwas ändert, sie wehren sich, wenn man ihr Glück infrage stellt. Das sind dann oftmals Menschen, die gar nicht mehr die Nachrichten im Fernsehen einschalten, weil sie so viel Unglück auf der Welt gar nicht an sich rankommen lassen wollen. Deswegen nenne ich das asozial. Das heißt, es geht um die gefährliche Tendenz, dass man sich abwendet von den Seiten des Lebens und der Gesellschaft, die einem nicht passen. Davon werden die gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse allerdings nicht besser.

Aber wenn einer so beschäftigt ist damit Teppiche zu weben unter die man viel kehren kann und mit denen man verdecken kann, behübschen kann, hat er für sowas natürlich keine Zeit - außerdem schreibt er weben ist leben und leben ist weben - also kümmert ihn das natürlich nicht....

My re-edit of the incredible documentary The Art of Flight is a tribute to all the Black Swans out there. I’ve always found joy in assembling meaningful puzzles, and this project was no different. When your heart and spirit guide the editing process, the result feels deeply fulfilling regardless of how many people see it. Even if only ten people connect with it, that’s enough. I’m already looking forward to the next creative spark that pulls me out of the daily routine and into something extraordinary.
