This pair of Egyptian Geese reside in my local park and usually produce a good clutch of eggs/goslings each year.
I heard that they had brought the newly hatched goslings over from the nesting site on an island in the lake, to the area where visitors walk. This is a risky move as people enter the park with their dogs at this point (some not on a lead) and the male swan (we only have one pair) is very protective and territorial when his mate is currently sitting on her nest.
Sadly there were initially ten yesterday, but only seven on my count this morning.
I went to the park early hoping to find them. When I arrived Mum was keeping them all warm. Then 2 dogs arrived across the water inlet where they were and this disturbed them. Thankfully another visitor was feeding them with seeds so I got some good footage. Enjoy!
Cala Blanca es una pequeña cala muy cercana a Ciudadela, al oeste de Menorca. Está situada en la urbanización con el mismo nombre.
Aunque el agua de Cala Blanca es transparente, es una playa muy afectada por la posidonia oceánica, o dicho de otro modo, las algas. De todas formas, en nuestra última visita en 2009, ya no había los montones de años anteriores. Suelen limpiar la playa una vez al inicio del verano.

This timelapse sequence was captured at Spiterstulen in Jotunheimen. Notice how the colors in the atmosphere turn from the usual dark blue to a faint green glow. This is an airglow phenomenon- a faint emission of light which is caused by various processes in the earths upper atmosphere. I'm always looking for changes in the nature when I shoot timalapse, so this exceeded my expectations for what I thought to be a rather predictable timelapse sequence.
It's kind of goofy, but here's a video of pudding's special 8 position eye mech. Is it her t-bar? I actually kind of like having two different eye positions so I might just leave it as is unless it could be damaging? I love how cute she looks when she squeezes her eyes shut tight. :)

Getting lost in nature, and seeing so many beautiful creatures free in the Wild is a lovely experience.
Yala National Park is one of the largest national parks in Sri Lanka, and is also known to have the world's highest concentration of Leopards, although spotting them still requires some luck.
Hope you enjoy this short highlight of our trip to Yala.

Apparently the Kings of England fell in love with the swans there and made them subject to Royal rules, so commoners couldn't hunt them, etc... There were so many that I thought I'd do something different - a time lapse... These are all mute swans which nest at the swannery.
