Al rientro dalle ferie, essendo il frigo vuoto, sono andata al supermercato ed alla cassa ho assistito ad un teatrino.
Una signora di almeno una settantina ancora assolutamente attiva (fin troppo) imbustava la spesa e poiché ci impiegava troppo tempo (sembrava stesse costruendo un Lego) un tipo che stava con lei ha iniziato a toglierle tutto da mano ed a gettare le cose nelle buste alla sanfrason.
Grassottello, sguardo simpatico, forse capelli tinti di biondo o parrucchino, occhiale di osso con un bel fondo di bottiglia: era il figlio. Trafelato, vedendo la fila dietro di loro accrescersi, gettava veramente la roba a cazz de can.
Ma guarda! Stai mettendo il pane bollente vicino ai latticini ed ai surgelati!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh nun fa niente! Tanto fa caldo!
Ah no! Mi consenta questa è pure una mia fisima. Io addirittura faccio una busta solo con il pane.
No signó mo ci manca solo che lei le da ragione! (ma lo ha detto ridendo)
E certo. Le mamme hanno sempre ragione!
Signora bella vann fa Santa! (ridendo la mamma)
Erano belli, mi hanno fatto pensare alla vita, al susseguirsi delle stagioni, a come i ruoli cambiano, anzi devono cambiare, a come la quotidianità unisce, a quando un giorno si ricorderà con un sorriso mamma era na cacacazz.
Pochi secondi prima di scrivere questo post ho letto dell'ennesima tragedia familiare: il padre insegue il figlio 26 enne che si getta sui binari e nel tentativo di salvarlo muoiono travolti da un treno merci entrambi.
Ecco, allora mi sento di ringraziare Iddio per quello che mi offre ogni giorno, per essere quella mamma cacacazz della cassa, per avere un figlio che mi arraffazzona tutta la spesa quando viene ad aiutarmi al supermercato.
Part of the exhibit was even broken down into sections featuring Audrey's work with different photographers, which was quite nice.
Despite the fact that this photo was taken just in December of 2008 at Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom, to me it feels somewhat timeless, like it could have just as easily been taken in the 70's 80's or 90's

I don't think this photo is particularly good, I just really enjoy getting a photo every once in a while that leaves you wondering if it was taken today or 20 years ago. Even the people and the graffiti down on the beach are kind of neutral. I think I need to start redscaling this film or something because it's gotten much duller since I originally started shooting with it.

A clock without any hands hangs from the wall of a house in the old historical center of Stonetown, Zanzibar.
I chose this image for my portfolio because I feel it holds some very important values to me. First, the model is my sister, whom I love. Next, this photo is taken in San Francisco, a beautiful and lovely city that I love to travel to. Lastly, this photo is taken in amoeba which is a music store that's filled with what you can see as thousands of CDs. It's a music lover's paradise. The reason I named it timeless is that the picture is captured at a moment in time, the subject blurred, but surrounded by music that has lasted years and generations. You could say this photo could have been taken 50 years ago. There is a beauty in this photo and I think it has a distinct creative beauty. The colors are muted and the shadows are distinct.
The compositional techniques being used are leading lines and framing(with the vignette).
I captured this photo with the school-issued camera. As I said, it was captured inside Amoeba with my sister. I just became her personal photographer and took shots of her as she was walking around. I edited this photo by muting the colors and toning down certain colors. I cropped, straightened, darkened the photo through Lightroom.

Lighting: A single WL X1600 with AB Giant foldable softbox to camera left (ok, actually not completely to my left. I had to squeeze myself into the doorway so, I actually had to poke my head in front of the softbox. I call it the pinhead gobo effect.
