Palazzo Vecchio was built starting from 1299, and in 1540 it became the residence of the Medici family.
It is the symbol of Florentine civic and political power and its walls saw the great and historical events unfold for over seven centuries, becoming the most heartfelt emblem of the city.
The sea does not reward those who are to Anxious, too Greedy or to Impatient... One should lie Empty, Open, Choicless as a beach... waiting for a gift from the sea

This was a portion of one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. I was fascinated by these wooden pews where monks have sat and prayed for hundreds of years. “Doberan Minster is the main Lutheran Church of Bad Doberan in Mecklenburg, Germany. Close to the Baltic Sea and the Hanseatic city of Rostock, it is the most important religious heritage of the European Route of Brick Gothic. It is the remaining part of the Ex-Cistercian Doberan Abbey, dedicated in 1368. The first abbey in Mecklenburg, founded in 1171, which was also used as the burial site for the regional rulers, became important both politically and historically.”
