The Highlights of a Decade Long Musical Journey

Presented By: The Old Joes Choir

30th and 31st of August 2008 at The British School Auditorium

It has been ten years, and The Old Joes Choir has come a long way, evolving musically, and as an entity that continues to enthral its public. A decade of dabbling, experimenting and extending the boundaries and limits of sound and music has stood in good stead, enabling a group of talented and committed individuals hone and perfect something they were already good at.

It was in 1997 that The Old Joes Choir embarked upon their musical journey; a voyage that has augured well and ushered in positive change, along with a loyal audience, fans of choral music, who have stood by them through the last ten years of evolution. Thus, it is only right that The Old Joes Choir pay tribute to their loyal, unwavering fans, and their decade old journey, through a musical celebration of the last ten years.

You are welcomed to witness a unique event, involving diversity in sound and style, in celebration of a ten year old journey, as The Old Joes Choir embarks upon a voyage of rediscovery; an expedition that will strike at the very core of their musical soul. Sit back, relax, and prepare to be enthralled, as they go back to their roots to present you with our Timeless Echoes.

Here's the watch I have to wear for two weeks. It costs $1,600 and doesn't tell time. It's for a medical test. It records my movements to determine my rest/activity levels. I've never done a test like this. At least there are no needles. M.S. fatigue is (so far) the worst part of it all. And that isn't a complaint.

So myself and Vanessa (you'l see her loads in my pics) had enough of class this day.. we didnt see the point of what Karl marx has to do with photography and we weren't about to find out neither. Armed with a poly bag full of clothes we headed in the direction of St. Annes park. This is the shot of the day for me. Something timeless about it which I like...

Timeless Style, Episode 16: Next up in our review of the outfits for the fashion show is Antoni's design for the 1910's, the Edwardian era. Camp hostess Georgiana Maplecat wears an evening dress that exemplifies the chic elegance of the time. Such gowns featured straight silhouettes and fluid fabrics in soft colors. Georgiana's dress has a white satin underlay draped with shimmering fabric in silver and lavender, with violet lace and a satin belt. Long or short gloves were de rigueur, so she doesn't lack them! Her look is finished off with a gemstone and gold necklace in typical ornate Edwardian style. She's all ready to dine at Downton Abbey or attend a ball aboard a steamship (but not the Titanic!). (Made by me from original pattern, the necklace too.)
