There's such a gentle murk in the colours of a late hazy day. Sleepy shades of yellow-orange, and a sense that time has no real hurry. Down at the rush of Burntcoat Head, the tide divides a sandstone shore from an isolated island, with a current so swift you wouldn't dare venture in. Stick around long enough, and you can walk right over. We waited a while till our time ran out, picking rocks to mark and watch revealed in a drop that hurried past, though not fast enough for us. Somehow in the rush of life, we were here once before nine years ago. A detour on the long road home from Cape Breton — rolling in at sunset all alone, no one to share it with. Today felt somehow timelessly in touch with then. Love is like a tidal bore, breezing by in the back of my brain. Never did connect with the notion of letting memories slip away.

1920's, 60's, 80's or maybe 2020's, future daughter in law Rosie is right for for the moment........and that moment is now.
I think this is the very first time I actually love Adele 3.0. She's amazing in this skintone and with that hair!!!! <3
The gown is not for her, but it's lovely though...
I turn my back to the wind
To catch my breath
Before I start off again.
Driven on without a moment to spend
To pass an evening with a drink and a friend
I let my skin get too thin
I'd like to pause
No matter what I pretend
Like some pilgrim
Who learns to transcend
Learns to live as if each step was the end
(Time stand still)
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
(Time stand still)
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Time Stands still
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away
Time Stands still
I turn my face to the sun
I Close my eyes
Let my defences down
All those wounds that I can't get unwound
I let my past go too fast
No time to pause
If I could slow it all down
Like some captain, whose ship runs aground
I can wait until the tide comes around
(Time stand still)
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
(Time stand still)
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
MAKE EACH SENSATION A LITTLE BIT STRONGER
Make each impression, a little bit stronger
Freeze this motion a little bit longer
The innocence slips away
The innocence slips away...
Time stands still
Time stands still
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
See more of the people and the places that surround me now
Time stands still
Summer's going fast, nights growing colder
Children growing up, old friends growing older
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away...
The innocence slips away.

Active Assignment Weekly August Challenge: Timeless
The challenge is to capture something that can be titled "timeless" The more symbolic you get the better.
Restrictions: Not just a scenery - has to include a person
Dare: No dare - I think the restriction is enough.
WIT: A tough assignment. The definition of timeless is hard to pin down. This is a shot I took early in August and came back to it as the submission for the month. The timeless nature of youth is the concept I settled on, along with what should be the never ending sense of curiosity in people. Photographed in early morning sunlight along a lake shore. Heavily processed in Lightroom. There wasnt much detail in the background to begin with so the highlight and softening effect easily removed it. Also, not my kid.
