Only a glimpse of the elegance of Trieste with its majestic buildings and timeless beauty.
Trieste is located in the "corner" of Italy, almost completely surrounded by the Slovenian territory.
Famous for the coffee, a thriving cultural life, its strategic position has meant that its port, over the centuries, has become not only important but fundamental for trade in the Adriatic Sea region.

Icelandic horses gathered during a snow flurry. Their patience, their resilience, their intemporality, remind strongly me the Horses of the Chauvet-Pont d’Arc Cave in South of France, one of the most ancient prehistoric painting, around 32.000 years ago.

A new tulip has hatched in my garden this week. It is called 'Timeless' and comes from Tesselaars Tulips at Monbulk, near Melbourne (Victoria).
'Timeless' has cherry red petals and a narrow white border, except this tulip decided to have golden yellow borders. So it is 'Timeless' with attitude!!
Here in my garden at Caste Hill (near Rogans Hill) in the Hills District of Sydney.

Dalmatian pelican ( αργυροπελεκάνος )
The Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus) is a massive member of the pelican family. It breeds from southeastern Europe to India and China in swamps and shallow lakes.
This huge bird is by a slight margin the largest of the pelican species and one of the largest living bird species. It also appears to have one of the largest wingspans of any living bird, rivaling those of the great albatrosses and the great white pelican.
