I've waited a lifetime
For the age of wonder
A place that I remember
In a splinter of time
A stranger in a strange land
Caught in the flow
Still searching for answers
Early morning fog settles amongst trees and shrubs.
I have a deep respect for trees and their ability to endure through the years the hardships that the weather brings. From frost to extreme heat they always seem to bounce back, perhaps not as beautiful as before, they are survivors. Their beauty is timeless no matter how ravaged they may become.

Trieste is located in the "corner" of Italy, almost completely surrounded by the Slovenian territory.
Famous for the coffee, a thriving cultural life, its strategic position has meant that its port, over the centuries, has become not only important but fundamental for trade in the Adriatic Sea region.
A part of an old stone bridge from roman age, near river loudias at northern Greece, actually this bridge was much bigger and was bridging the river thousands of years ago.

Just an older image sitting in the queue. It is funny, but when I see these older shots I want them to go on flickr on the right kind of day.
Icelandic horses gathered during a snow flurry. Their patience, their resilience, their intemporality, remind strongly me the Horses of the Chauvet-Pont d’Arc Cave in South of France, one of the most ancient prehistoric painting, around 32.000 years ago.
