The Arches and this area's land has a timeless, indestructible look that is misleading. This area is a very fragile high desert ecosystem. Effected by wind, rain, snow, runoff, dust storms and visitors.
In this photo the sun has given the sandstone a radiant orange color.
Funny thing is, it is hot here 80 degree's and yet there is still snow on the mountains in the back ground.
Their faces tell a story. Probably the oldest group of models that have ever posed for me! This was a transparency shot with the brilliant Plaubel Makina 67 on Fuji RHP outside Hong Kong in an old walled village - and copied with the dp3
I recently visited an old car graveyard that I hadn't been to in years. It is such an amazing place to explore and see these time capsules. Many of them still have people personal items inside. There is always something unique to find. I especially like the old hood emblems and badges on a lot of the old classic cars there. I believe this one is from an old Cadillac...maybe late 40's or early 50's. Someone correct me if I wrong.

This scene is about a year old, but it could have been the scene twenty years earlier. Two black back to back Illinois Central SD70's are rolling a freight north through Manteno, IL, on the route of the Main Line of Mid-America. Sure, the CN owns everything here now, but those classic straight cab EMDs are pretty much untouched. The leader was delivered in 1995, twenty five years ago. Some of its litter mates have been painted in the red nose Borg scheme, but quite a few have managed to escape total assimilation. Long may they run!
Innovation in interior design: Seen here is the très chic reception area near faculty offices. This stylish lobby offers visitors a breath of fresh air, in the form of a tasteful silk flower arrangement which predates the School of Nursing building (1970).
NOTE: Though I titled this "Timeless", these are actual vintage Joes. Not the Timeless repros.
