(Behind-the-scene: Thanks to this year's Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk I was able to get together with local friends and folks who shared the same passion. I absolutely enjoyed the camaraderie and great company shared by everyone! That Abita Wheat was a welcome treat too! Thanks Bruce! :) I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Salut!.)

The Tyrolean mountains are timelessly beautiful in winter. A feeling as if time
stood still.

Unfortunately it is not possible for me to

The road winds through the rugged embrace of the mountains. Beyond the pass, the valley unfolds like a painting, serene and untouched. There is a quiet majesty here, a sense that time lingers in the curves of the land.

Some aspects of rural life hardly seem to change over the centuries. The above scene was taken by the River Lune at Lowgill, and shows part of the ancient hump backed bridge. The cattle were on the Howgill side of the river, in the historic West Riding of Yorkshire.
I stood on the opposite bank, in Westmorland.

“Passages in time shall leave timeless evidence in their wake.”
― Anthony T. Hincks. That said, we had better take the time to enjoy it before it's gone forever - as these girls are doing on the Centennial Ridges Trail in Algonquin Park.
The ever popular Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park. Arrived at 6am only to find about 30 other photographers lined up along the width of the arch blocking the view. Had to decide whether to leave or wait it out and hope space opens up. The decision to wait worked out well but the number of people jostling each other for position was crazy.
Used a relatively high ISO in order to use a short exposure length, and avoid the risk to the tripod being bumped during the exposure. Camera mounted on the Manfrotto 190 carbon with 410 Junior geared head.

Nature, God's canvas, painted bright,
With dawn's soft glow and starry night.
In every forest, on each verdant hill,
His love whispers, tranquil and still.
From mighty peaks to oceans adrift,
Nature's splendor, God's timeless gift.
