Lots of challenges getting on to Flickr still my fine flickr friends. It appears Bad Panda is the Hungary of the Upload World and not allowing me entry ....so I am trying to wiggle under the fence to get in.
Shot from Bali - pulled car over on the way to Echo Beach as was struck by this elderly gentleman working in his paddy field. He stood ramrod straight and looked directly into the camera. His equanimity and dignity were humbling to me who shys away from the camera.
I see fire, determination, peace, gentleness, wisdom and sadness in his eyes...what do you see ?

The Arches and this area's land has a timeless, indestructible look that is misleading. This area is a very fragile high desert ecosystem. Effected by wind, rain, snow, runoff, dust storms and visitors.
In this photo the sun has given the sandstone a radiant orange color.
Funny thing is, it is hot here 80 degree's and yet there is still snow on the mountains in the back ground.

I recently visited an old car graveyard that I hadn't been to in years. It is such an amazing place to explore and see these time capsules. Many of them still have people personal items inside. There is always something unique to find. I especially like the old hood emblems and badges on a lot of the old classic cars there. I believe this one is from an old Cadillac...maybe late 40's or early 50's. Someone correct me if I wrong.

D6515 turns on a touch of power leaving Arley, Severn Valley Railway during 2022 Diesel Gala.
Although the Class 33 wouldn't have been a visitor to these parts before preservation, the view here has changed little in 60 years.
This follows on from my previous post of the Lincoln Memorial. I wanted something a little different for this image - to play the stillness and power of Lincoln's statue and the words behind him against the movement and impermanence of the site's thousands of daily visitors. The Battenkill made a Monday run down to the Pan Am interchange at Eagle Bridge. The 66 year old Alco RS3 is on the return with 3 loads for Cargill and one flatcar with ties which were dropped just outside of Eagle Bridge and Shushan as they pass the former depot in downtown Cambridge, NY photo taken October 22, 2018
