This captivating photograph portrays a young Puerto Rican woman with a striking and confident gaze. Her curly hair, adorned with a delicate lace headband, frames her face beautifully. The black and white treatment of the image highlights her features and adds a timeless quality, while the subtle hint of color in her clothing adds depth and texture. The subject’s poised expression and graceful pose exude a sense of elegance and strength, making this portrait both powerful and alluring.

I'm literary trying to recall back by rescuing some decades old memory of my very dated virgin work of few good images i deem...somewhere created 9 years ago.

I remember shot this with my very first own and extremely excited encounter with the Si-Fi modern digital technology and daringly or stupidly invest a Entry level 500d Canon's product not ever in my photography history dare migrating from film analog to digital for once in my entire life, Ya...my first time.

Perhaps, if I remember correctly, I also pair it with my basic 18-55 kit lens that bundle along if my fast fading memory did not play me out.

It was simply very fascinating watching over and over all my images instantaneously appear at the rear live view 2" color screen without hassle of single worry never before......, I couldn't believe photography had arrive in such relief with pure enjoyment and sensational moments witness first time in decade accepting what I shot second ago, I had the power to easily witness n answer for myself to delete or retain images that are ideally not satisfy, or bad. Never ever dream that could happened to my true long term companion, Nikon FM2 , basically is like playing with mission impossible that traditionally once difficult to built someones interest within years n now turn into instant passion or transform into real professional hobby that impossibly had evolve at such revolution age, and my photographic horizon stretches tremendously with such a familiarise device yet unfamiliar technology gadgets squeeze into one at once.

However, in real life way before connecting with canon brand, I had been working as a full time portrait photographer using analog Nikon camera for close to a sentimental 8 years with very homely Singapore tourism industry during my early 20's when I had just completed serving my national service in air force .

I can recall is always a pleasure to bring out such an pleasant compact digitalize gadgets so call an entry level camera+ kit lens that weight nothing and does not hurt ones back easily .

Now, it seems more a scary idea to lug along my photography gear as time n experience progress down the road of history. My camera bag of size had largely expanded due to demand n greed for best beauty needs n slowly became a beast with photographic equipmemts gathering house that only Hercules can handle the weight but would easily hurts someone back in a day or 2 carrying them.

5 years ago I manage to decide picking up to learn how to process my few crazy images beside rely on analog darkroom era . What u see right now are my initial work using a software design by unpopular coral Photoimpact X5. I enjoy using those limited tools and mingle blending my images with tons of effort and time consuming energy to figure out all by myself.

Too bad i accidentally loss the complete series of my Yunnan china trips due to bad computer crash and system hard drive failure and instantly loss all my precious store images and bear no idea to retrieve single images to react as rescue....No back up no nothing and all data turn into ashes when I'm so new and lack in digital knowledge.

Now when I refresh back it left me with some fine memory and how time really fly...!

The sea shore is framed both from above and from below by the plant kingdom: by a tree in blossom as well as by wild flowers. It is spring time in Nea Kallikrateia, Greece:

The undulating water’s colour is gradually turning into emerald greenish blue, alluring us, people, with transient and ephemeral promises of joy and pleasure during the forthcoming summer. Yet, in the shot there are also some lasting —or even perpetual— elements pictorially implied to us, such as …Devotion.

The photograph was inspired by the poem lines:

“The heart can think of no devotion

Greater than being shore to ocean -

Holding the curve of one position…”

—Robert Frost (Devotion)

You don't stop laughing when you grow old, you grow old when you stop laughing.

Our first night stay during the 2015 Adventure. Was in Creede, Colorado. The primary reason that I picked Creede for the overnight stay is what you see here. The white mausoleum in the old mountain cemetery and the old white church. I had run across a photo of the two of them and I knew that I had to see and photograph them. I left the motel at 6:30 AM in the next moring. It was 19 degrees Fahrenheit as I headed up to cemetery to set up and wait for the sun to crest the mountains. Image made with a Pentax K 5.

A long walk always has a reward. Although it's a very typical picture, the Tower Bridge always looks great, especially in weather like this!
