In a scene that could pass for 1952, a classic RS-3 with a short train of 6 cars heads north on the Batten Kill Railroad. This loco was originalely delivered to the Delaware & Hudson and has remained on its former rails ever since.
A re-edit of this lifeless tree, set next to the grand canyon. Hard to imagine how many timesthis life and death cycle of trees occurred since the grand canyon was formed.

International night train 335 "HELLAS" from Beograd (SRB) to Thessaloniki (GR) depart from Beograd central rail station.
Without getting out much to gather some new images, I enjoy perusing the library for ones I have slightly forgotten. This was captured back in April of this year on our trip to Iceland. I was fortunate to take a day trip south to view a few waterfalls that had been on my list for some time now. Now that it's crossed off, I can hope to visit a few more spots on the next trip out.
I go back and forth about which version of this image I prefer, the monochrome or color. So for now, black and white wins out. I've gone back and converting a lot of my waterfall images from Iceland to monochrome. I just really enjoy the timeless feel of both the Icelandic landscape and the black and white finish.

Visited Lucerne this morning and we walked up to the Ramparts. Found this wonderful and timeless view down onto Lake Lucerne and across to the Alps. I'm guessing this particular view is largely as it would have been from the same ramparts 300 years ago.
It's been a long time since I was there, it's a stunningly beautiful town.
