"The oldest living city in the world"
This magical scene is timeless, it was shot in the afternoon of Xmas day in Varanasi (Benaras).
On the left a well known sadhu form the ghats, I saw in a book that his dreadlocks are two meters long.
Three men are wearing typical clothes from South India, one is taking in picture his friend who has a big snake around his neck.
The owner of that snake wears an orange turban on the right.
Walking along the ghats of river Ganga is one of the most magical thing in the world.

working on a more realistic figure of The Timeless Child but for now, here's this...
they say that part of growing up is learning to parent yourself, to fix some of what your actual parents did to you.
the doctor faces her earlier (perhaps original) self...
the doctor, a person of science, faces the revelation that her earliest self was abused in the name of science, and that if not for this, her entire species wouldn't exist as they do.
what is the child thinking? we may never know
Lake Pangong at 13998 feet above sea level- A great wonder of nature.
Pangong Tso is a brackish lake, about 64 km long & 4-5 km wide and after a small sandy ledge it carries on to Tibet(China) as Nyak Tso, which is a fresh water lake.
Sand dunes are an ever evolving thing, they are constantly changing due to the effects of wind, rain, and snow. Yet there is still a timeless truth that remains the same about them, which is who made them. They were not made by wind, rain, or snow, but by the hand of One who carefully designed and formed them and made them in such a way that the elements of nature could constantly refine their beauty!

Peaches. I was originally out to capture funny looking pictures of cats with my wide angle, though there isn't much distortion here. The lens did however accentuate her whiskers and make her mouth just a little funny looking. I'm really happy with how this entire image turned out; the whiskers are my favorite component.

In late December, several of us were able to shoot winter's arrival (well, the official one anyway, since "winter" is a rare bird in south Florida) at the Deering Estate in Cutler Bay. I'm not sure that there's anywhere more beautiful and somewhat iconic for a Florida sunrise that there. Every day offers a different sunrise as the clouds and colors, as well as the surface of the water changes, so one never gets bored with sunrise there.
While many images were taken that early morning, I chose this tighter crop. I loved the way that the colors were popping out in both the sky and in the waters reflection below. What do you think?

Sometimes it's good to go back through the portfolio and take a fresh look at images you'd forgotten and have another crack at them.
The sun sets over Great Staple Tor on Dartmoor. In the distance you can see the church of Brentor silhouetted in the haze. The weathered granite that forms these tors are the result of over 200 million years of erosion leaving these amazing structures on the hill tops across the whole of the Dartmoor National Park.

Slow moving currents of time sweep past us.
Some of us are affected, others just seem timeless.
For some odd reason, this shot evokes in me a sense of Déja vu. The tattooes on her back are oddly out of place, yet the quiet simplicity of the shot is reminiscent of an old chinese ink painting.
Hope you guys like it.

One of the rare times I've shot an asian model. It's pretty rare to find an asian girl with an extremely prominant bone structure. Most asians, myself included, seem to have the sort of softer rounder features accompanied by a flat nose. Although Glamor and Beauty isn't really my thing, I wanted to give a shot at blending beauty and movement all in one... and here's the result!
Special thanks to Pratik Naik from Solistice Retouch and Jaymes Poudrier for contributing in the editing of this shot. Three way collaborations =P how fun!

I was going through some photos from last month, you know the ones, sitting there in a folder, waiting to be looked at and processed when I happened upon this one.
I do not know how I missed it on the first round, because this is a gorgeous portrait.
I'm not sure what it is, the pose, the smile, the composition... whatever it is, I love it and am kicking myself for not seeing it sooner!
She has a classic air about her here, even with the cheese and crackers in her hand. I love it, what a gem to be hidden in a folder!
This was jammed between a bunch of blurry photos, so I think I snapped this when I was showing my cousin's son how to use my camera.
I had bribed him with camera time if he would pose with his baby sister, he held up his end of the bargain so I handed over the camera, forgetting I had everything on manual settings.
He quickly returned and asked for a lesson, so I flipped things to auto and I think this must have been what I shot to show him where the buttons were, I wasn't even thinking about the photo at the time, just teaching him how to use the camera.
Funny how things work out that way sometimes.
Hope everyone has had a good day.
