The castle of Chambord (France) is certainly one of the most impressive of the Loire Valley - be it for its size or its architecture, with an amazing amount of details imagined by François Ier and Leonard de Vinci.
The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is a protected area high in the White Mountains in Inyo County in eastern California. Protected within the Inyo National Forest, the Bristlecone Pine Forest is home to the oldest trees in the world, bristlecone pines. The bristlecone pine trees grow between 9,800 and 11,000 feet above sea level, in xeric alpine conditions. Some of these living trees exceed 4000 years of age and exhibit spectacular growth forms of twisted and beautifully colored wood.

The iconic Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Situated on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the facility is adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens, between Sydney and Farm Coves.
Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, the facility formally opened on 20 October 1973.

Portstewart Strand during the summer is one of the busiest spots on the North Coast. This particular evening we set off for an evening stroll along the beach. The weather gave it to be clear (for once, which was a change given the summer weather we got here this year!) and we set off. As we walked up the beach the tide was at its highest and to be honest the sky wasn't all that wonderful. I had one of those moments when I was contemplating whether I was wise bringing my gear with me. Just was we were heading home the sky burst into life as the sun began to set! The colours kept getting stronger and stronger with each passing minute. It was then, as I stood in total amazement that I had an answer to my queries! We stood until the sun finally disappeared beneath the horizon - a truly spectacular moment, and another time where I stood in awe of our Creator and Maker!!
This is one of those places where time stands still and your brief blip of existence of the planet is put into perspective.
One of the top 10 most amazing places I've ever been to experience. Scary standing on the edge of sheer cliff with howling wind, and if you fall you have 10 seconds for life to flash before your eyes before you hit the bottom... but incredible too.

With all the craze about ruffle cakes, I thought I should try my hand at it too and am so glad I did, cause I really love the impact and statement it makes......1950's, movies like Singing in the Rain, Marilyn Manroe's classic song Diamond's are a Girls Best friend, gorgeous hair styles and of-course vintage ruffle's and ribbon's..........dreamy indeed.
