Iowa Traction steeple cab 50 was lapping its younger sibling 51 on its way around Mason City.
50 was built by Baldwin in 1920 and the 51 a year later. And they are still going strong.

i had been wanting to get up to Bodiam Castle in East Sussex at night for a while. Although the milky way is still not back on the south coast yest, its dark enough here to get a great view of the stars. an ideal night would have been for a little less wind in the water to get the reflections of the stars that bit better

As time ages us, we tend to forget the people and places that once held important spots in our hearts. Slow down, take a moment and recall those memories. The smiles on our faces will be priceless and timeless.
This was scanned in from a very old b/w neg which I took about 20 years ago, taken on the river Thames at a place called Gravesend in Kent on a very cold and foggy winters morning
I'm too busy ! :(
Sorry for being away these days...

In a timeless tradition a pair of fathers and their young sons are mesmerized by Mass Coastal's Energy Train going about its chores delivering empties to the Yarmouth-Barnstable Regional Commercial Transfer Station at the end of the South Dennis Line.
MC 2008 (GP9RM blt. Apr. 1956 as CN 2020) leads dead MC 2016 (GP38-2 blt. Aug. 1976 as MP 2134) seen just north of the south switch into the transfer station at about MP 2.5 on this branch which now ends less than a half mile behind me where it turns into the Cape Cod Rail Trail. However, from 1873 until 1960 the line continued a full 45 miles further to the very tip of Cape Cod at Provincetown. That year abandonments began and the line was successively cut back until just this 3 mile stub remained.

I caught this shot of Nyhavn in Copenhagen, Denmark, last fall, but given the timelessness of his beautiful and historic harbor it could have been a seen from a hundred years ago.

I did put in an order for some blazing skies during my trip to Sydney...but that didn't happen. Upon questioning I was told the transaction didn't go through cause my credit card didn't have enough money. :)
Thanks to all of you for your time, comments and favs. Truly appreciated..

This is my beautiful best friend Laura, on the day of her wedding. She exudes elegance always and this day was certainly no exception.
This size really does it no justice so if you can be bothered please: View On Black
Conway Scenic 7470 leads the Southbound Steam in the Snow train past the roundhouse in Bartlett, NH. The roundhouse was built in 1887 along the former Maine Central Mountain division. It served as a service point for extra power needed to get trains up and over Crawford Notch. This scene was very cool, as there's really not much discerning it as modern day. While the 0-6-0 locomotive may not be historically accurate, I'll take the opportunity to shoot a timeless scene any day.
