Lilla Lotta Village House. Almost the same type of house as I did on the large tall cushion.
For now, I am so busy putting christmas gifts together for family and friends :)
I might be a little quiet... wish I could stop time for a bit ....
MAV Nohab 001 arrives at Balatonfufzo station with a Tekerego service to Budapest. For two days several trains on the scenic Balaton northern line ran with heritage locomotives including this Nohab and two M62 class diesels. The clearly American rooted Nohabs were an anomaly in Eastern Europe which was largely forced to buy power from other Soviet block nations. MAV purchased 20 of these EMD diesels built under liscense by Nohab in Sweden and would have liked more but due to the political conditions of the time were forced to buy less reliable Soviet built M62s.

Special thanks to Jeff Lewis landESCAPEphotography for giving me a heads up about the Southern California weather condition. I knew that it's been burning real good in So Cal for the past week and Saturday was not to be counted out either. The glow you're seeing actually happened during the last few minutes of this particular sunset.

Buildings on Stocks Beck, Ambleside, Cumbria. Could have been photographed in 1848 or 2018. It was the latter by the way. I'm not THAT old even though Mrs Andy often infers that I am..!
Timeless, is the word that comes to mind, when sitting here alone, with no people around, at the end of the day, at Seal Bay, on Vancouver Island. Nikkor 12-24mm f/4 pro lens.

A long walk always has a reward. Although it's a very typical picture, the Tower Bridge always looks great, especially in weather like this!
It could be 1943 or 1963 or 1983.... a racegoer at Ballinrobe Racecourse, Co. Mayo, Ireland, Sept. 2023, edited to resemble a single frame from a 16mm motion picture camera. Ballinrobe, by the way, is currently celebrating 250 years of horse racing locally. I'm told that the current track is the fifth location where racing has been held.

Sunrise and sunset are timeless moments in which certainties and conventions are diluted at the confluence of the night and day, in which live together the present, past, future...

The timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness;
and knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.”

Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
I haven't uploaded for three weeks and I miss Flickr so much. School is definitely taking over my life and it makes me sad that I don't have time for photography. I'm trying to catch up right now ;)
There is something about standing in front of the Teton mountain range that is so evocative of a simpler time...
Some fashion creations are just timeless. I would like to highlight new and old pieces that will always be beautiful.

So the big question is this:
Will a photographer ever grow tired of shooting this iconic barn at Grand Teton National Park?
My answer is easy:
No.
This is the southern Moulton Barn just off Antleope Flats Road about 15 miles north of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Hard to believe - but true: The National Park Service wanted to tear down this barn as an "eyesore" in the late 1960's and a few far sighted invidividuals (mostly photographers) convinced them not to do so.
Now it is supposedly - according to Popular Photography magazine - the most photographed barn in the world.
If you have the time, I hope you'll view this at the larger size linked below to enjoy a bit more of the grandeur of the place:
