Hellooooo Flickr! It has been a while.
My offering after these terrible weeks of absence is a pinhole photo taken over about five minutes in our new apartment during a rest in the moving and the beginning of the long process of settling in. We are still moving stuff from the old apartment. This was last Sunday, which was also Worldwide Pinhole Day, which I couldn't miss no matter how much other stuff I had to do. That is indeed my ghost there, and most of those boxes you see there are empty, because we had finished loading up the bookshelves unorganizedly with some twenty-five-boxes' worth of books. It made the place feel like home.
Yep, those large stone objects are called "jars" and have given the name to the area. They are from about 2500 b.c.e. and are one of the mysteries of archaeology: nobody really knows who put them there or why!
For those of you who don't know him, I can't explain. For those of you who do, I don't need to explain. No he wasn't being crude, just weird.
I love John dearly. He's a wonderful friend.
Taken 4/11/04 before my handfasting.

THE BLEEDERS.
Those pesky little Bleeders thought they could come down from Glasgow to entertain the Paisley fans as they supported the punk legend and ex Sex Pistols original bass player Glen Matlock. Well they did and they looked like they had a great time too boot…..
Jackson Harvey and Daniel McGuiga’s guitar and drum band went on stage just after 8pm dressed in bark capes with bleeding black and red eye makeup after Drummer Daniel told me their style of music was a mix of punk and country. Both members joked with themselves and the fans in between songs while Daniels guitar went throw a bass and guitar amp resulting in the lower strings sounding like a bass as he played single notes. And for a two peace band they had a full lively sound while mixing in samples from kids yelling to segments of music that had the crowds well entertained.
At one point in the show Jack ran off stage in the middle of one of their songs and straight into the toilet while still playing his guitar that had the audience laughing. Only for Daniel to say on his return, “I hope you washed your hands” that brought further laughter from the crowds. Drummer Daniel later told me Jack got a new wireless radio jack plug for his guitar and it was all spontaneous and good banter with the fans.
This once four piece band exited stage left around 8.40pm and in no way were intimidated by the fans or what was still to come and why everyone was at the Bungalow bar as they left with a smile on their faces and chuffed to have supported on of punks greats bands members…
A cracking night folks and all good fun and why people need to get out their and support their local venues and live music..
…………
By the way folks, if you like the photos leave a review or a star or two on my Google page which is much appreciated.
Thanks.

Feb. 17, 2016. Burlington, MA.
Protest at the administrative offices of Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Burlington, MA to demand a moratorium on deportations and ICE’s rejection of the applications for 287(g) agreements from the Sheriff Departments of Essex and Plymouth counties. If signed, organizers believe the agreement would increase the number of immigrant families being destroyed by deportation.
According to organizers between 2005 and 2010, 87% of cases involving undocumented immigrants with U.S. citizen children ended in deportation. Of all children in U.S. public schools, 6.9% are children of undocumented parents and 82% of those children are U.S. citizens. The Congressional mandate that sets a bed quota requiring Immigration and Customs Enforcement to detain 34,000 undocumented immigrants on any given night fuels the destruction of immigrant families. ICE is the only law enforcement agency that is subject to a national quota system for incarceration.

Those aren't seedlings. They're actually cakes baked in flower pots for Emma's botany mystery birthday party.
For those of you who don't know, I teach at a special school. It's a 2-19yr school, but most of our children leave at the end of Y11 or Y14. This was the first year that have had a prom. It was an amazing night. I work with the younger children but was asked along to take photos - I felt very privileged to be there. Our logo is a butterfly and the children wear red and black - hence the cakes.
A staple treat for all those visiting the Stampede Corral are the IAMS Superdogs. This year they presented the hour long “Simply WOOFY. It’s Freakin’ Dogtastic!” Great for families, kids, grown up kids, and people of every age group.
Maybe it's age, but I didn't find the show as entertaining as I had in the past. Either that, or the dogs were rather lazy. We did have comic releaf from a couple dogs. One was super hyper and did almost everything so that he could be reunited to his rope toy. He was very quick in all the race tests vs. the St Bernard who took its time getting anywhere on the timed races (seen in a very clean capture in this collage). I was happy to see a siberian husky representative, as that is my favourite breed. Too bad this one wasn't too active, but it was beautiful none-the-less.

.......its those big boxes that really wear him out. So much cardboard flying around here lately has made the boys very happy.
Ever have those moments when you see a picture of food and it looks so good you just want to eat it? Well that's how I feel about this picture. I'm friggin salivating just looking at this picture! :D haha.
Anyways, this picture is dedicated to Véronique. She sent me this print as part of the Print Swap group she started. Here is the shot in her stream.
The Print Swap group hasn't quite taken off yet, but I do love the idea. Check it out if you are interested.
