A beacon for those travelers on life's journey who may have lost their way. This is Redeemer Lutheran Church near Good Thunder, MN, just a few minutes south of Mankato.
The lighted cross is not a manipulation. I drove by this location less than 24 hours prior and saw this church with the lighted cross. I can safely say this is the first time I had ever seen anything like that.

I took this picture probably almost 10 years ago. I decided to rummage through some old photo albums and put up some old pictures. This picture was taken in Palos Verdes over looking the ocean. My best friend Cori and I drove up there for a fun filled day. The grass was so tall we decided to take some funny pictures in it. This is one of Cori doing her famous handstand.
Those tracks are the road. Driving was part of the adventure today, even on the unplowed pavement for ~1 mile before the ranch. This is part of what spring looks like and the snow is welcome after the early melt this year.
Those are 4 intertwined dragon tails that make up the spire on the Børsen - the Danish stock exchange.

Those familiar with my Flickr stream will be unsurprised to learn that I rather like both swing dancing and Wilton's Music Hall. Swing Patrol and Wilton's organised a joint Christmas party, so it was fairly obvious I would go along.
Hope you like the photos.
Those streaks of light encircling the closest water jet are a reflection of the fountain's dancing waters above. Detroit, Michigan, 2007.

But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Photo taken in the Alabama Hills in the eastern Sierra Mountains of California. This area of geological wonders is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. This morning, I braved the February cold to watch the sunrise from the boulders with Mt. Whitney (tallest point in the contiguous United State) in the background.
Those could almost be sand dunes in the desert, couldn't they? Behind you can see the Caldbeck TV mast.

That "Pineapple Express" storm last November made a big mess on every mountain in the Cascades it seems. On the south side of Mt St Helens there is a huge debris flow (another glacial burst?) and the road (Forest Road 83) is completely destroyed. A stream flows through a large crater where once the road was. Thankfully we only had to walk a mile on the road past the closure, adding 2 miles to our 5 & 1/2 mile hike to June Lake & Chocolate Falls.
It's going to be a long time before that road is repaired which makes getting to Lava Canyon (a fantastic hike further up the road) all but impossible.
EBR-1 Experimental Breeder Reactor Atomic Museum
Those present here on December 21, 1951, realized the historical significance of what had taken place. R. Cameron supplied the art and inscription; others present chalked their names.
The women present at "first light" were left off the original chalkboard, a plaque to the side was later added to record their names as well-
"In recognition of the contributions made by Wilma S. Mangum, Eleanor B. Barnes, Gladys Joslin, Virginia Kruse, Agnes Williams, and all women to the successful generation of electricity from atomic energy at the Experimental Breeder Reactor-1 on December 20, 1951"
----------------------------
