Wait! This isn't how it looked in the brochure..;)

With my extra time off I decided to have a little fun.

I'm I picked up some water when I was at the store. A water line broke and we're on a boil water notice until further notice. Such fun..:)

I dont golf, and those who have tried golfing with me will attest to that. However, I do find golf courses a location of early morning beauty. This is the Peterborough Golf and Country Club in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, that caught my morning attention. I was in Peterborough celebrating my sons college graduation.

Those who came before me

Lived through their vocations

From the past until completion

They'll turn away no more

There are those grey and misty Days

When You're in Need of a colourful Blaze

Always recall your artistic merits

As they can easily lift up Your Spirits

Your creative Skills

Might give you some colourful Thrills

Which are at the End a perfect Way

To escape those grey and dull, misty Days

Bicycles

Although I don’t ride a bike, well not at least for 40 odd years, there is something satisfying about a bike. It’s solid, reliable (mainly), an art form, it has a place in our society, an environmental champion, a pleasure and a serious competitor.

There aren’t many things in life that fulfil those criteria, there will always be those detractors but for me the bike is a hero.

More postings in this series to follow ………..

The Heralds of Spring!!

Aren’t they ADORABLE these Crocus blooms in our gardens, the heralds of Spring?? They have such an exceptional texture and refined light-purple colours in many shades! And that golden , expressive and photogenic heart in their middle, makes my own heart sing!!❤️

I am certainly not a great photographer but you have to admit I bring you variety. :-)

How do you ladies like those eyelashes ?

Those who have chosen the path of least resistance in life, who cannot bear to bring themselves to make a stern value-judgment in criticism of their own most intimate feelings, achieve what they deserve: not self-understanding but radical self-superficialization, not a discovered but a self-ascribed identity that explains nothing, reveals nothing, means nothing, and ultimately accomplishes nothing culturally or intellectually.

-- Kenny Smith

The little man washes his muddy clothes at the laundromat…

Skippy envisioned his universe with help from the following incredible creations:

taikou's laundromat building, machine pipes, coin washers, detergent bottle, detergent box, gas dryers, and laundromat carts, which are all part of the Laundromat Set!

With the onset of mask-wearing, my lipstick doesn’t get much use these days. I bought this one about a year ago and you can see how little wear there is. But it’s always in my handbag, just in case. This is the compact version, about 2” (5cm) tall.

No idea why I did this, but after applying such strong tonal changes the wood creature appeared from the woods. Ok, too much imagination? Cabin fever setting in probably...and yes, I admit...I know why I was just playing with tonal adjustments on old shots because I cannot get out to take new ones....grrrrrr

For those who may not know somehow, mansplaining is definitely not a new term but I'd define it as when a man decides that, because he's a man, he has certain knowledge or skills that a woman (because she's a woman) doesn't have and therefore the woman should definitely listen to him and consider that she could be wrong. I was thinking maybe this is something that actually happens sometimes after a bad date too when a man tries to convince a woman her perception of him wasn't correct and to give him another chance.

We should all actually listen to and respect each other and also gender is a construct. Have a nice day!

Those are jet contrails near to the moon.

Singapore is a photographers paradise with so many wonderful viewpoints.

This is from Marina Barrage on the edge of the city on the Straights of Singapore. It is a very easy area to access and heavily frequented by locals enjoying the cool breezes and city views.

The challenge of this photo beyond weather is waiting for the area to be free of people and timing the water fountain lights. The water fountain cycle is rather short, so to overcome this I used a ND filter and 30 second exposure. This left the lasting water impressions and those walking through were not captured.

Those spoonbills were there for a little moment in order to continue their migration. Probably they came from Holland. There were lots of them.

MARQUENTERRE

Those farm dogs will chase me down every now and then. This too was from a previous winter. They are cute but I wasn't going to step beyond my door- they do protect the farm property.

A price on their head
