It was our photo trip to the Japanese 日立city of 福島County during in April 19 , and the sakura trees blooming just on time though those Tokyo ,Osaka ,Kyoto etc , the flowers were gone,so we were lucky to take these beautiful sakura flowers in every where of 福島County
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, took part in the unveiling of a memorial stone, which will be replaced by a Memorial to the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide. Today, the world commemorates the 80th anniversary of the deportation from the Crimean Peninsula organized by the Soviet authorities.
The event was also attended by the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov, the Permanent Representative of the President in Crimea Tamila Tasheva, military personnel, volunteers, representatives of the Mejlis and ambassadors.
"Now every Crimean Tatar heart feels pain when recalling the events of those days, those years. The exact number of human losses caused by the deportation is still unknown. The exile to a foreign land took the lives of at least a third of the total number of Crimean Tatars who lived on the peninsula at that time," the President said.
The memory of all the adults and children killed by deportation was honored with a minute of silence.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that since the restoration of Ukraine's independence and until 2014, Crimea had been a happy home for many of our people. He emphasized that it would definitely be so again after the liberation from Russian occupation.
"The peninsula destined to become one of the best places to live in Europe will indeed be that place – without Russia," the President noted.
Mustafa Dzhemilev reminded that on this very day a year ago, the President proposed to establish a Memorial to the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide.
"The significance of the Memorial is immense. It demonstrates the attitude of the state towards the indigenous people of Crimea. And this is especially important given what is happening to the Crimean Tatar people in their homeland, Crimea," he said.
Previously, on the site where the Memorial is to appear, a monument to the Chekists had been standing for half a century. It was demolished a few years ago.
"A monument that glorified not people, but a cruel system – a system that is guilty, in particular, of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people. It is at this place in Kyiv that a memorial of our respect for the Crimean Tatar people and commemoration of all the victims of Russia's genocidal attacks on our Crimea should be erected," the President emphasized.

I took my dear, dear friend Jesse out to San Francisco in August. (It was a spontaneous happy birthday to me.-- and by spontaneous I mean we didn't have plane tickets till 36 hours before we left. yikes.) Since Jesse had never been to SF before, he got a walking tour of my most Beloved city via my dear San Franciscan friend, Adam. This was near the end of our tour, waiting for the most important part of walking tours--- food.

Those Who Affected Me is an interactive light emitting textile art installation. Suspended in mid air, over 1,5 meters tall, and 2,5 meter diameter, the four winged structure invites the audience to gently touch the textile and reacts by sending colorful ripples up and down the intricate fabric.

I have eight of these fancy tea napkins total and I thought "oh I'll stitch them to match my tea cups" and for some reason I thought "cross-stitch! the sheer tinyness surely won't destroy my eyes."

The Gujjar People of the Himalayan Foothills.
This is a great example of the unique style of Bakarwal Gujjar dress. Note the embroidered hat with a tail. This changes from place to place but remains unique to the Bakarwal women. The necklace is typical, a large triangle pendant with a stone in the middle, symbolic of the "evil eye" and used to ward off bad luck.

Those looking for a 2014 picture of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree might just want to look a little further. This was taken near dusk during my May trip to new york. I loved the graphic quality of the plate on the ground marking the site of the tree, and I liked it even more in high contrast black and white.
Apparently the tree won't be lit until December 3 2014 so I may be a little early posting this, but why wait to post a non-tree picture when in one week there will be more tree pictures posted than you could shake a branch at.
Sitting with other beings it's just talking from heart to heart! Horses are one of those magnificent powerful and gentle companions.
