Those who improve with age embrace the power of personal growth and personal achievement and begin to replace youth with wisdom, innocence with understanding, and lack of purpose with self-actualisation ~ Bo Bennett

Those you can't see are on the other three faces...

For those who watched 1960s US cartoons, this lyric will be a reminder...

Spiderman, Spiderman,

Does whatever a spider can

Spins a web, any size,

Catches thieves just like flies

Look Out!

Here comes the Spiderman.

For everyday superstars through generations.

My dear Xennials, Gen X and early Millennials if you take a look back for a moment and see all the life transitions you had to go through, those shoes are just complementary for what you already are. Keep going and take care!

The Legend of the Doves

One the Lord of Heaven chose two doves, both young and fair

and told them of a very special journey they would share.

"Go now upon the earth and seek two hearts where you may dwell,

and there I shall surely come and make my home with

you as well. We'll join the two and make them one. A Husband and a Wife,

my spirit will endow their love with everlasting life."

Today the Doves still bring the sacred promise from above,

to those whose hearts are open to the miracle of love.

- I am staying in an apartment with occasional sights of doves and pigeons, and while it has been a great sight most of the time seeing pairs of flocking birds spreading their graceful majestic wings across the window, it has been a rather sad thing since I did not able to capture them succefully. (The previous captures, were done in San Marco Square, Venice, Italy, on close proximity)

Until now I got this great 250mm lens! For the first time, this feather friend is appearing in my Middle Kingdom collection.

The Healthy Life 1966 vs 2016

1966

Back then, Mr Atkins had only just announced that you could lose weight eating bacon, butter, sausages and steak! Doris couldn’t wait to try it out at Frankie’s Place, what’s the worst that could happen…

2016

Those extra pounds around her hips would vanish by following the ‘Oxygen & Vitamin Shot’ diet but Doris was suspicious that many more pounds would vanish from her wallet…

Hey guys!

It's been quite a while since I last posted a figure - things have been a bit busy lately with university and everything.

So I recently got my hands on the new Brick Affliction Division set. I have to say, it's awesome to have Andy sculpting again, and this set is no exception to his awesome track record thanks to him and Josiah.

I tried hollowing out the beanie that comes with the figure to use all the Brick Affliction elements, but that didn't work out so well and I ended up ruining it. So, when my package from Richard at G-Bricks arrived, I decided to use those parts to replace it.

The set is pictured here with the G-Bricks Trappers hat and respirator mask, as well as the ACR that comes with the G-Bricks 'Task Force Operator' set, which has a Tiny Tactical ACOG Scope attached to it.

I really hope you guys enjoy this figure, I will leave a link in this description when the showcase for this figure is up on my YouTube channel tomorrow!

Dedicated to those who lost everything, during the recent earthquakes and other weather events in the Pacific region.

I've not posted an HDR in a while, this is a extreme HDR, the colour is not too pushed, but the dark tones are one of the techniques I use to create 'Mood'

I've posted the basic HDR settings below.... David and I are planning an HDR workshop - same format as our Portrait one (which is canceled due to weather), please visit our group and discus ideas.

Thanks everyone.

Enjoy.

About The Pacific Ring of Fire

The Pacific Ring of Fire (or sometimes just the Ring of fire) is an area where large numbers of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. In a 40,000 km horseshoe shape, it is associated with a nearly continuous series of oceanic trenches, volcanic arcs, and volcanic belts and/or plate movements. The Ring of Fire has 452 volcanoes and is home to over 75% of the world's active and dormant volcanoes. It is sometimes called the circum-Pacific belt or the circum-Pacific seismic belt.

About 90% of the world's earthquakes and 80% of the world's largest earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire. The next most seismic region (5–6% of earthquakes and 17% of the world's largest earthquakes) is the Alpide belt, which extends from Java to Sumatra through the Himalayas, the Mediterranean, and out into the Atlantic. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge is the third most prominent earthquake belt.

The Atomic Bomb which was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 was named LITTLE BOY, and three days later, the atomic bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki also had a name, it was called FAT MAN. Little Boy killed estimated 200,000 human beings, and Fat Man killed estimated 150,000 human beings.

Little Boy and Fat Man....

Those things had names, can you believe it....

Fuck.

For those not familiar with Australian colloquialisms, an Aussie Battler is someone who does it tough and struggles to achieve some goal despite the odds. In this case, the Aussie Battler is a guy and his van who sets up every day (and has for years) in the approach to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. As you can see he specialises in pies and peas, that means meat pies with a generous spoonful of hot mushy pies on the top! A great favourite of mine I must admit.

Around Australia how they are served up and what they are called differs a bit from state to state. I have waited for years to take this shot and finally achieved it today. If you are in Queensland and up that way, keep an eye out for him on the right hand side of the main road into Caloundra.

those of us in The 12.12 Project are helping to profile Polaroid's newest film today, their absolutely lovely Blue 600 -- and the irony is, it's raining today and all this snow is melted, but I'm glad to have caught it while it was falling...

This was one of those scenes that jarred me back to reality as I wandered about in a local cemetery. It's often the simplest of things that have effect me this way. Here it was solemn figure of a soldier standing vigil over the grave of a fallen Marine. Arm frozen in eternal salute. The dress uniform splattered with the ubiquitous spray of grass and weeds kicked up by an errant weed whip. I felt a presence here. Not in terms of a ghost or spirit. But a weird sort of heaviness, contemplating a life cut short by someone devoted to service. Someone probably much younger than me. Tight knit bunch these Marines. Attended a Marine wedding a few years back, my cousin married a young Marine corporal. At the reception I noticed a small table near the entrance, set up for just one person. I was told this was the 'missing man' table. It was a tribute to fallen comrades and a custom at receptions and official events. The night was filled with joy and laughter but I found myself pre-occupied with the empty little table and what it signified. And how the young Marines in this room had ensured that the table be present. Lots of respect there. It's one of those moments that has never left me. I thought back on the little table as I contemplated this little statue. And now the two images are forever intertwined.

Those moments you breathe deeply and not look back!.

Those whose know of this place Maroon Bells, in Aspen, Colorado, would second my thought that this is the most beautiful place in Colorado state! It was fall when we visited this place and sure it lives to its reputation "Colorful Colorado".

For scaling purpose, the tiny figures near the lake on the floor are few people walking the lake trail.. you can imagine the enormity of those mountains..
