The famous lighthouse on Denmark's west coast has an exciting history. Inaugurated in 1900, it was hit by a shifting dune just ten years later. In 1968, the lighthouse had to stop operating because its light could no longer be seen from the sea. In 2012, the shifting dune completely passed the lighthouse and has been moving north ever since. However, the sea was now increasingly becoming a threat to the lighthouse. There was a risk that it could tip over if it crashed onto the coast. Therefore, it was moved 70 meters inland in 2019.
Les marais salants s'étendent de Trapani à Marsala quasiment (côté ouest de l'île) et couvrent une zone d'environ 970 hectares. Certains sont encore en exploitation, et la zone des marais est une réserve naturelle gérée par le WWF depuis 1995. Cette gestion par le WWF permet la restauration des moulins, qui souvent tombent en ruine. Mais cette gestion fait de cette zone aussi une très belle réserve animalière riche en oiseaux type échassiers, flamands, faucons pêcheurs... et toutes sortes d'oiseaux migrateurs.
La récupération du sel dans la région date des phéniciens, le sel était alors essentiel pour la conservation des aliments. Le port de Trapani a alors vu croître son importance au XIIème siécle avec l'exploitation du sel, considéré comme le meilleur d'Italie. Aujourd'hui encore ce sel est considéré comme un sel de luxe, très utilisé dans la haute gastronomie.
Contrairement au sel de Guérande légèrement gris, sauf pour la fleur de sel, le sel de Trapani et de la région est très blanc. Ce blanc est vraisemblablement du au fait qu'il fait plus chaud qu'en France, et donc que l'évaporation étant plus rapide, le sable n'a pas le temps de se déposer sur le sel.
The salt marshes extend from Trapani to Marsala almost (west side of the island) and cover an area of approximately 970 hectares. Some are still in operation, and the marsh area is a nature reserve managed by WWF since 1995. This management by WWF allows the restoration of mills, which often fall into disrepair. But this management also makes this area a very beautiful animal reserve rich in wading birds, Flemish birds, fishing hawks ... and all kinds of migratory birds.
The recovery of salt in the region dates from the Phoenicians, salt was then essential for the preservation of food. The port of Trapani then saw its importance grow in the 12th century with the exploitation of salt, considered to be the best in Italy. Even today this salt is considered to be a luxury salt, widely used in haute cuisine.
Unlike the slightly gray Guérande salt, except for the fleur de sel, the Trapani and regional salt is very white. This white is probably due to the fact that it is warmer than in France, and therefore that evaporation is faster, the sand does not have time to settle on the salt.
Exists in the true meaning of life is to cultivate trees, under whose shade you do not expect to pose and provide shades even to him who cuts off its boughs.
For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver.
Therefore Trees are poetry that the earth corresponds under beneath the sky!

Noch ein Kingfisher, aber ein ganz anderer. Die Nahrung besteht hauptsächlich aus Insekten, kann aber auch kleine Schlangen, Skorpione, Eidechsen, andere Jungvögel, sowie Nager und Fische umfassen. Er ist also nicht von Gewässern abhängig, so wie einige andere Kingfisher. Mit einer Größe von 22-24cm ist er etwas größer als unser Star.
Another Kingfisher, but a very different one. Its diet consists mainly of insects, but can also include small snakes, scorpions, lizards, other young birds, rodents and fish. It is therefore not dependent on water, like some other kingfishers. With a size of 22-24cm, it's slightly larger than a Common Starling.

The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

An area between two positions, mid ground is that point that defines what lay between the extremes. Many would challenge the placement of the main subject in the center of an image. However, Leonardo De Vinci might suggest otherwise. In his notes that are for public view in the Uffizi, (Art Gallery) located in Florence, Italy, one dissertation stands out. In it, he makes mention of a discovery he made around 1486. "Where two horizon lines meet two vertical lines (leaving nine equal areas), we are given four points of tension.
He was saying that if you wish to introduce tension to your painting, place the subject on one of the four points. Conversely, if you do not wish to introduce tension to your painting, do not place your subject on one of the four points. He looked at what we refer to as the "rule of thirds" in a very different way, Not as a tool for balance, but rather one of tension. Therefore, not wanting to introduce tension to my image, leads me to follow in the ways of Leonardo.
This is work in progress. I am reflecting on the body as a spatial entity, the photographer's body, i.e. my own body, in particular (here represented by and measured in, Fujifilm boxes). The body interacts with the world by its sheer physicality (e.g. air displacement, foot pressure) even before our mind perceives, thinks and acts in the world. Therefore, the body already (and not just the mind) has agency. Photographically speaking, I need to reassess the "surface" of the body.
Mt. Dalsnibba at about 21 km (13 mi) from Geiranger, Norway, offers a good view when the weather permits and is therefore a popular tourist destination. Dalsnibba is often covered by snow even in the summer.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
The entrance to Selfoss waterfall wasn’t permitted beyond a nominal roped barricade. This picture was therefore taken from afar but does show size of the falls and the surrounding environs.
Grandpa had no sons, therefore when his daughter married and she took on the name of her husband, Grandpa's name will fade with the memory of him after his life. These are the things he was reflecting on as he watched his precious granddaughter play.
This photo was taken on a trail along the ridge surrounding Kamakura, which leads from Hasedera to Zeniarai Benten (銭洗弁天). The trail is poorly marked, partly very narrow and steep; therefore not for everyone.
Kamakura was the site of Samurai's first government called Kamakura Bakufu (鎌倉幕府). Bakufu is usually translated to Shogunate but literally means "temporary headquarters during a military campaign (府) partitioned by curtains (幕). Shogun (将軍 shougun) means "commander in chief."
Kamakura is open to the Sagami Bay in the south but protected by steep mountains in other three directions. Kamakura was chosen for the headquarters from a military point of view, more specifically, its advantage in defence against the attacks from the outside.
The Minamoto clan that established the first shogunate descended from an imperial linage. In this sense, they were aristocrats. They specialised in military matters and came to be regarded as a head of warriors from Samurai clans and thereby increased political presence in the imperial court in Kyoto and finally overwhelmed the emperor.
The official title of Minamoto no Yoritomo (源頼朝 1147-1199), the first shogun, awarded by the imperial court was "Commander in Chief of the Expeditionary Force against the Barbarians (征夷大将軍)." But the title was over-interpreted to authorise his status as the head of Samurai clans and further the acting head of Japan.
Dartford Warbler - Sylvia Undata

The Dartford warbler (Sylvia undata) is a typical warbler from the warmer parts of western Europe and northwestern Africa. It is a small warbler with a long thin tail and a thin pointed bill. The adult male has grey-brown upperparts and is dull reddish-brown below except for the centre of the belly which has a dirty white patch. It has light speckles on the throat and a red eye-ring. The sexes are similar but the adult female is usually less grey above and paler below.
Its breeding range lies west of a line from southern England to the heel of Italy (southern Apulia). The Dartford warbler is usually resident all year in its breeding range, but there is some limited migration.
The Dartford warbler was first described by the Welsh naturalist Thomas Pennant from two specimens that were shot in April 1773 on Bexley Heath near Dartford in Kent.
The species is naturally rare. The largest European populations of Sylvia undata are in the Iberian peninsula, others in much of France, in Italy and southern England and south Wales. In Africa it can be found only in small areas in the north, wintering in northern Morocco and northern Algeria.
In southern England the birds breed on heathlands, sometimes near the coast, and nest in either common gorse (Ulex europaeus) or common heather (Calluna
Dartford warblers are named for Dartford Heath in north west Kent, where the population became extinct in the early twentieth century. They almost died out in the United Kingdom in the severe winter of 1962/1963 when the national population dropped to just ten pairs. Sylvia undata is also sensitive to drought affecting breeding success or producing heath fires, as occurred during 1975 and 1976 in England when virtually all juveniles failed to survive their first year.
However, this species can recover well in good quality habitat with favourable temperatures and rainfall, thanks to repeated nesting and a high survival rate for the young. Indeed, they recovered in some areas of the UK, but numbers are once again on the decline in other regions of their natural range.
The range of the Dartford warbler is restricted to western and southern Europe. The total population in 2012 was estimated at 1.1–2.5 million breeding pairs. The largest numbers occur in Spain where there were believed to be 983,000–1,750,000 pairs. For reasons that probably include loss of suitable habitat, the Spanish population appears to be declining. The species is therefore classed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature as being Near threatened.
A period of climatic warming since 1963 has seen the UK population increase to "more than 2,500 pairs in 2006 (Wotton et al. 2009). Expansion into patches of structurally suitable habitat (up to an altitude of 400m), more northerly areas and away from the core of the range, from Dorset and Hampshire to Derbyshire and Suffolk, is likely to have been facilitated by milder winter weather (Wotton et al. 2009, Bradbury et al. 2011)... The Dartford warbler population in the UK is expected to continue to increase. However, future climate-based projections for the European range indicate that by 2080, more than 60% of the current European range may no longer be suitable (Huntley et al 2007). There is evidence that this is happening already, with severe declines in Spain and France (Green 2017). For this reason, the species is classified as Near Threatened on the IUCN Global Red List. If the declines in southern Europe continue, the UK will become increasingly important for global conservation of this species".

Aconcagua is a mountain located in the department of Las Heras, in the province of Mendoza, in western Argentina. It integrates the Main mountain range, which is a component of the Andes mountain range. With an altitude of 6960 meters above sea level, it is the most eminent peak in the southern and western hemispheres, the highest on Earth after the Himalayas (Asia) system and, therefore, the highest peak in America.

Bohemian Waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus)
Supposedly the original "Bohemians" were travelers or refuges from central Europe. This species is therefore true to it's name and was in fact well named.
During the winter and non breeding seasons they travel in large groups in search of fruit.

"Waxwings really have wax wing tips. The bright red, visible on the wing feathers of some waxwings, is actually waxy red secretions. The red wax tips are appendages on the bird’s secondary feathers. They’re colored by astaxanthin, a carotenoid pigment.
While it was originally thought that the red tips functioned to protect the feathers from wear and tear, there is little to no evidence for this hypothesis.
Rather, the red secondary tips appear to be status signals that function in mate selection.
Interestingly, the red appendages of both Waxwing species increase in number and size with a bird’s age: individuals with zero to five waxy tips are thought to be more immature birds, while those with greater than nine are thought to be older.
Individuals within these two categories tend to associate as mates. Pairs of older birds (those with greater than nine waxy tips) nest earlier and raise more young than do immature birds, suggesting that this plumage characteristic is an important signal in mate choice and social organization.

Naast de sanditetreinen en de verhuur van loccen voor goederentreinen, komen de loccen van Svensk cook in actie met werkmateriaal. Zo werd Värnamo de afgelopen weken vernieuwd, waarvoor ze het een en ander aanvoerden. Op 29 september bracht Ma 876 een kraan en wagens met wisseldelen over van Örebro naar Nässjö, vanaf waar bolle neus TMX 1012 achterop de trein verder zou rijden naar Klevshut. De Ma is liefst 70 jaar terug gebouwd en is daarmee zelfs nog ouder dan de ruim 60 jaar oude TMX bolle neuzen. Het stuk tussen Hallsberg en Stenkumla wat hier gebruikt wordt, moet over een jaar of vijf vervangen worden door een dubbelsporig tracé. Een kastje werd achteraf weggepoetst.
Apart from running the anti-slip trains and hiring locos to freight operators, the Svensk Svensk Tågkraft locos can also be seen with material for maintenance works. For example, during the last weeks, the area around Värnamo was rebuilt. On September 29th, Ma 876 brought a crane and wagons with switch parts from Örebro to Nässjö, from where roundnose TMX 1012 on the rear would bring the train to Klevshut. The Ma was built in 1954 and is therefore even older than the TMX roundnoses from the beginning of the 60s.

One day The Eastman Kodak Company developed the user-friendly Kodachrome snapshot camera. The day the whole world started taking pictures. And the concept of "Kodak color" was born. The digital age has supplanted photo films. Kodak's photo-specific development process no longer exists and Kodak's own colors were lost forever.
The "Retrospective art project" is based on bringing back the atmosphere from the Kodachrome era and individually composing the necessary colors for each photo by hand. After all, every photo is a time shot with its own values that can never be captured in filters. It's not a canned soup. It is a time-consuming work with a lot of satisfaction. For months I had the time to study the work of the Belgian Magnum photographer Harry Gruyaert. Mesmerized I can look at his photos. He has become my great example in watching and creating. The name "Retrospective art project" is therefore inspired by him. The photos are no bigger than they were at that time and therefore not intended to be blown up.
It goes without saying that two of my passions are clouds and the colors of a sunset or sunrise. Therefore, this past sunset I have enjoyed this gift of nature with these beautiful clouds, that I missed so much, enlightened by the colors of a stormy sunset that left occasional rain showers.
After a horribly dry and extremely hot summer, the atmosphere begins to change and storms finally begin to decorate our skies.
I hope you like the photo and I take this opportunity to wish you a happy Wednesday night!

No hace falta decir que dos de mis pasiones son las nubes y los colores de un atardecer o un amanecer. Por tanto, este pasado atardecer he disfrutado de este regalo de la naturaleza con estas bonitas nubes, a las que tanto echaba de menos, iluminadas por los colores de un atardecer tormentoso que dejó ocasionales chubascos.
Después de un tórrido y horroroso verano seco y extremadamente caluroso, la atmósfera empieza a cambiar y las tormentas por fin empiezan a decorar nuestros cielos.

I am still learning to use my new raya pro software and digged out this image from HK i made 2015. There is a very bright portion of the sky on top of the image but it was not possible to use a filter to darken that part because there is no filter with such a form.
Therefore i originally made three bracketed images (-2EV, 0, +2EV) and merged them with Photomatix for my first edit.
Now i used the Raya Pro software for my second edit and got a much more natural looking result where the colours and saturation are much closer to the original.

After a break of more than seven months IC 44-45 is back again, therefore the only direct connection between Vienna, the Tatra Region and the East of Slovakia. However, I was a bit shocked about how many houses were built in the back of this foto location since the last time I was there.

Although Michelle Obama referred to her knitting rather than macros, these are Swarovski® crystal beads I’ve used before. Placing these .8cm / 0.31 inch beads vertically on top of one another proved vexatious, but absorbs my mind.
This Laowa lens magnifies by two. Aperture used was f/8.

So the sun has set and the light is fading, but you still want to capture the scene, especially when this pair of swans appear to feed... Tricky one; it's a balancing act between ISO (and therefore noise), aperture (and therefore Depth of Field) and exposure (how slow do you risk going to keep things sharp?) Hopefully I got the balance about right :)

KEMBACK AULD KIRK
This church was built in 1582 and was therefore one of the first post-Reformation churches to be built in Scotland. It was intended to replace an earlier place of worship, a rectory founded by Bishop de Bernham in 1244 and situated in the grounds of Kemback House (site 10518). Kemback Old Church is in a graveyard to the southwest of the current parish church, on a plateau above Ceres Burn. It is enclosed within a low coped wall. The church was built on an asymmetrical 'T' plan with an off-centre north aisle, which is no longer upstanding. It is gable ended and now roofless, although the west gable retains its full height. It was replaced by a new church in 1814.
the church walls are of sandstone rubble, with dressed quoins and window margins.
The traditional medieval east-west plan of the church is reversed and east is no longer the principal elevation. The east gable does not survive. The remaining east wall appears to have had two windows the most northerly of which probably dates to c.1760, and is rectangular and truncated at the head. To the south of this is a blocked rectangular opening in an in-filled segmental arch, visible on the interior of the church. There is a cavetto moulded skewputt on the northeast corner of the face, from which would have sprung the crowstepped gable. A low walled burial enclosure extends eastwards from the foot of the wall, which makes the church appear more elongated than it actually was.
In the south elevation of the church is a series of intermittent square headed openings. The most easterly of the windows is square and appears to have originally had a segmental head. The next most westerly window is rectangular and is also inserted in place of a segmental arch. The size of this opening on the interior of the church is larger than on the exterior, but it has been partially blocked up, probably during the renovations of 1760. To the west of this is an eighteenth century square headed door capped by a lintel. Steps lead into the church through the door, which has a segmental head on the interior. To the west of this is a large rectangular window which also appears to date to c.1760. As with the window which flanks the door to the east, this opening appears to have been larger on the interior. This may indicate the former presence of a broad sill or deeply sloping recess for the window, rather than an enlarged opening, as there is no evidence of a larger window having existed on the exterior.

All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Rodin's famous statue, commonly called 'The Thinker' or 'Le Penseur' was designed as a representation of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri, for inclusion in a monumental work called 'The Gates of Hell' - a huge bronze doorway for a museum that was never completed.
There are some 28 life-size 'Thinkers' on exhibition around the world, all considered to be 'originals' - and not one of them made by Auguste Rodin himself.
As well as being a genius sculptor in clay, maybe Rodin's greatest success was his ability to industrialise the process of turning his clay sculptures into much larger bronze statues - the creation of enlarged models and their casting, conducted by teams of skilful artisans.
The Rodin Museum, close to Bois de Boulogne in Paris, is well worth spending a couple of hours if you're in the area.

Doordat de vrachtwagen van de vorige foto was verplaatst kon deze plek helaas niet meer gedaan worden. Daardoor werd er nog wat langer gewacht tot het moment dat de locomotief bijna bij de overweg was.

After several hours of waiting, it was the turn to the RheinCargo DE 668 to load his set of hoppers with coal at the OBA. due to the truck of the last picture was moved it was not useable as a place to take a picture anymore. Therefore we waited even more till the train was almost at the leveled crossing for the picture.

“Zaanse Schans (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzaːnsə ˈsxɑns]) is a neighbourhood of Zaandam, near Zaandijk, Netherlands. It is best known for its collection of historic windmills and wooden houses that were relocated here from the wider region north of Amsterdam for preservation. From 1961 to 1974, old buildings from all over the region known as the Zaanstreek were relocated using lowboy trailers to Zaanse Schans. Two of the windmills in Zaanse Schans are preserved on their original site where they were first constructed, and therefore do not constitute part of the relocated structures. The Zaans Museum, established in 1994, near the first Zaanse Schans windmill, is located south of the neighbourhood. This architectural reserve for Zaanse timber construction is a protected village scene because of its architectural-historical and landscape value. It developed into an international tourist destination with several million visitors every year: in 2016, there were 1.8 million, in 2017 – 2.2 million.”

Oô vient du gascon iu ou èu, « lac de haute montagne » : « lac d'Oô » est donc une répétition sur le plan étymologique.
Avec sa fameuse cascade de près de 300 mètres de haut qui dégringole du lac d'Espingo situé plus haut (1 882 m), le lac d'Oô (1 507 m) fait partie des randonnées incontournables de la vallée d'Astau, en Haute-Garonne dans les Pyrénées.
Malheureusement le ciel était bouché et nous n'avons pu voir les sommets environnants se refléter dans le lac.
Lake Oô (Òu in modern Gascon Occitan) is a lake in the Pyrenees of 42 ha and a maximum depth of 67 m, artificial since the construction of a dam on the glacial lake. It supplies the Oô hydroelectric plant with a capacity of 30 MW. His name is particularly known by cruciverbists.
Oô comes from the Gascon iu or èu, "high mountain lake": "lac d'Oô" is therefore an etymological repetition.
With its famous waterfall almost 300 meters high which tumbles from the lake of Espingo located higher (1,882 m), the lake of Oô (1,507 m) is one of the essential hikes in the Astau valley, in Haute-Garonne in the Pyrenees.
Unfortunately the sky was cloudy and we couldn't see the surrounding peaks reflected in the lake.

Rumelian Castle or Roumeli Hissar Castle is in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul. It's at the narrowest part of the Bosphorus - 660 m wide and across from another castle - the Anatolian Castle. The 2 castles were used to control sea traffic and therefore give a military advantage in the seige of Constantinople.
