Special thanks to Kim Klassen for her creative textures. The one used is her wonderful texture "Simplicity." This is also for her Textured Tuesdays theme.
Broom with plaster/brick dust on floor. It's clean now - after sweeping up the largest pieces of plaster, then vacuuming, washing the floor twice & finally polishing twice, it looks ok for now!

A gentleman around the corner has the most beautiful Oakleaf Hydrangea bush this year. He considers it a nuisance and invited me to cut all the blooms I wanted. I cut several carefully from all over the bush so its beauty could still be enjoyed by all who drive by. Now they have turned mostly pink, and I check them out every time I pass!
This image was submitted today to Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday and Lisa Gordon's Creative Exchange.

For Kim Klassen's TEXTURE TUESDAY
I took this in our town during a winter snow storm in 2009...it's a Thrift Shop attached to a church. I thought it would fit the theme of
GRATITUDE.
I used the texture Word on Soft Light at 100%; Crackerjack on Multiply at 51%, a levels adjustment, Background Copy on Screen at 40% and a little photo pop from Topaz Adjust...

Texture Tuesday using "Xanthe". What a difference a texture makes. This was a "drive by" shot (I was not driving!) on a rainy, foggy day and the sky was totally blown-out. This man was standing on top of a sand dune, looking out to sea, I guess deciding whether he really wanted to go out or not!
Kim Klassen's felicity, shine, and siena textures. I decided to use this one for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday, as it's my favorite of all my "felicity" experiments :)
Part of Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday...use one of Kim's textures and use a love or valentine theme. This cross is placed on the headstone of my grandparents from when we visited the grave in May.

"Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does." James 1:23-25

Wonderfully flavorful oranges with quite a tough skin. Their name is appropriate. The color of the flesh resembles a ruby grapefruit.
