I'm behind in commenting - will catch up today!

This does not look like an actual nautical knot like a sheepshank or bowline. This is more of a draped, wrapped and folded rope. Apparently this person missed Knot Tying 101, and isn’t he sorry now!

Happy Texture Tuesday!

Our Jacob's Ladder is making progress. Everyday gets warmer and of course the garden gets greener.

For Texture Tuesday and I think the Memories texture belongs to Kerstin Frank:)

Close to the nesting site, this male is waiting for his mate. She will arrive with a branch or a fish.

The light flecks of orange/brown feathers around the neck tells me this is a male. Females are larger and have a pronounced gray brown ring or necklace of feathers around their neck.

He is way off in the distance - wish I had another 200mm!

A hidden landing where I sit for hours and watch birds - on the right of this frame is the stand of tall pines where the eagles fly.

Thank you for stopping by have a lovely day!

A nice old Mercury sedan parked beside a garage in tiny Kings,IL. Love the rusty patina here, here's hoping that this one gets back on the road again in the future....

I've lived all over this country and saw my first bluebird this month at a friend's house (no camera in sight). Then this past weekend while visiting a favorite farm (camera in tow) I saw this trio moving about and eating grubs. Yippee!

I used Jai Johnson's ocean series texture to give the sky and barn a bit of lift.

Happy Texture Tuesday and thank you so much for visiting.

Be well:)

...my friends Helen, Debbie and Marie I finally dusted off the LensBaby to give a go at a bouquet of grocery store flowers. To be honest, I think I should have cropped the top a bit - but I'm not going to fuss about such a thing today, maybe tomorrow LOL

I added Cheryl Tarrant's texture for a bit of whimsy.

I am a wee bit behind - hope to catch up today.

Be well!

Thank you for your views and comments, greatly appreciated!

I love to decorate in the pretty colors of Fall. A small little display on my china hutch.

Happy Texture Tuesday!

I really liked the trunk textures and tones in these Cypress trees and the brilliant green of the soupy mixture. Along Alligator Alley at Circle B Bar Reserve.

Happy Textural Tuesday!

I've been saving this image since last September, really not happy with the feel of the image. I've dabbled in textures lately and I like Kerstin's dark blue hues behind the gray. Happy Texture Tuesday!

Texture by dear - Kerstin Frank

Very foggy moody morning here in Maine. I went down to the harbor before heading off to work and I could barely see the boats. I adore fog...

This is for Texture Tuesday.

Be well dear friends!

for Textural Tuesday!

Thank you for taking time to visit my stream!

Good morning and thank you so much for your visits! Have a lovely day my Flickr, friends!

My friend Jay lives across the way but only in the summer. She allows me to feed the birds in her back lot. There are huge berry bushes with several varieties of flora mixed together (red berries with blue berries etc). And the birds love them.

The blue berries really stood out:)

Happy Textured Tuesday!

For my Texture friends, I can't find Kersten Frank's gallery anymore? Thoughts?

For Pumpkin Week! HTT!

So I took out my Nifty 50 and used that instead. Always nice to have a backup. One of many pumpkins in my Autumn decorations.

Happy Textures Tuesday!

Thank you my friends for helping me out with the unidentified bird!

Be well:)

Still in the kitchen. Nested stainless bowls. I was reading some news on Saturday that there was also a shortage of flour on the shelves in the stores. People at home are baking in record numbers. So I brought out my bowls and joined the trend!

Happy Textural Tuesday!

Happy Texture Tuesday:)

Very grateful for your views, comments, and Flickr friendships:)

For 7DWF - Water and Texture Tuesday

Our tiny park and recreation department manages 6 properties including the beach and lighthouse. 100s of 1000s vacationers come every year. While at the beach I'm especially happy to see people renting the equipment as it provides our parks with the dollars they need to maintain.

Here in Maine chipmunks hibernate all winter, they have been very active the last couple of weeks. This one and another were racing around the yard across my legs, up and down trees, unlike any Formula 1 racing cars I've ever seen!

Happy Texture Tuesday

For my friend Martha, she loves chipmunks:)

Catching up this afternoon!

... makes this heron happy ;D

Be well, Flickr friends and thank you for the visit:)

Someone painted this old plow and has it sitting on their property. It is one way to deter rust. Happy Texture Tuesday.

Thank you for your visits and comments, have a great day!

Front end detail on a vintage truck displayed along Route 67 in Eastern Iowa....

I'm guessing the front grille isn't original?

My cherry trees out in the back are in full bloom. It looks as if it will be another bumper crop. I have two pie cherry trees and one Rainier. Both make delicious cherries. Two trees for pies and jellies and one for eating right off the tree. :-)

Happy Textured Tuesday!

This picture asks the age old question, “Which came first the chicken or the egg?” Or, in this case, the barn or the tree? I have to think the tree was a sapling when this shed was built. It has now pushed the roof back to make room for it to grow.

I like the texture on the old barn wood and the tree bark. HTT

Thank you for your visits and comments my Flickr, friends:)

Texture by Jai Johnson at 30% transparency. Happy TT!

I love it here in Maine, the changes in season bring a variety of scenes, animals, moods. On my way home from the gulls I saw bald eagles and my front yard was being visited by our family of deer - 3 little ones and mama.

I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you so much for visiting and commenting! Be well:)

Fee’-bee! Fee’-bee! We are hearing the buzzy song of the Eastern Phoebe in our backyard. These flycatchers spend the winter in the southeastern United States and return to our area to breed. It’s good to have them back!

For Texture Tuesday.

Just a note to all my Flickr friends:

Please don't take the time to thank me for my comments, I know you are grateful. And I also know how precious time is - I'd rather you take that time to take more lovely photographs!!

A grim rural scene north of Polo,IL.

The surprisingly complex internal structure of an old barn built around 1900....

Going back into the archives to find something with texture.

This may be texture overkill. There are a couple of buildings and a trailer and some junk stuff all of which have different textures.

I guess we must embrace texture or everything would be smooth. For instance, skin would have no wrinkles. Well, to heck with embracing texture!

They are almost gone, so one last photo because I enjoyed them so much.

I used the texture: justforjune-1-kimklassen,

and kk-touch and the stamp kk-firnge-2,

loving the stamps !

Thank you for your views, faves and or comments, they are greatly appreciated !!!

They are still here fishing the low tide. I'll miss them so much when they head south:(

When the cygnets are in need, the cob just rushes in to defend them…

Mute Swans are one of Britain's largest and heaviest birds, with a wingspan of up to 240 centimeters. Male swans (known as cobs) are highly territorial and first threaten intruders, striking an aggressive pose with wings arched over their back, before charging at them to chase them off.

I often take this back road through Warner Park in the morning for a beautiful calm start to my day.
