Broom with plaster/brick dust on floor. It's clean now - after sweeping up the largest pieces of plaster, then vacuuming, washing the floor twice & finally polishing twice, it looks ok for now!

A gentleman around the corner has the most beautiful Oakleaf Hydrangea bush this year. He considers it a nuisance and invited me to cut all the blooms I wanted. I cut several carefully from all over the bush so its beauty could still be enjoyed by all who drive by. Now they have turned mostly pink, and I check them out every time I pass!

This image was submitted today to Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday and Lisa Gordon's Creative Exchange.

Shot and edited for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday, where the theme this week is "Warmth".

For more on this shot, including the steps I took to create this image check out my blog tomorrow. I was surprised how easy it is. Come on over and check it out and let me know what you think!

For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday...PINK edition ~

Used 2 layers of Kim's 'Aurora' - one at multiply @32% and the other with hardlight @15% (with the entire center erased). Also used one of Sarah Gardner's textures from her Renaissance Collection

Converted to B&W in 2015

2017 "7 Days of Shooting" "Week #28" "The Weekly Grocery Shop" "Texture Tuesday"

Processed for Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers workshop. I used her photoshop brush for the text as well as two of her textures "greydaystone" and "greydayslate".

Texture Tuesday using "Xanthe". What a difference a texture makes. This was a "drive by" shot (I was not driving!) on a rainy, foggy day and the sky was totally blown-out. This man was standing on top of a sand dune, looking out to sea, I guess deciding whether he really wanted to go out or not!

Texture Tuesday using Kim Klassen's "providence".

Kim Klassen's felicity, shine, and siena textures. I decided to use this one for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday, as it's my favorite of all my "felicity" experiments :)

For Texture Tuesday - the theme was white.

For Texture Tuesday B&W and a little color, using "grey day slate" texture.

Well, I made my own breakfast and I was in a little bit of a rush!!

sometimes i am not sure ...

not sure if i am just as grateful for a faded flower

as when it was in it's full glory.

i am sure

with all certainty

that i am sincerely grateful

for all the beauty about as autumn settles in.

grateful for all of life's blessings.

. . .

most assuredly grateful

for kim klassen and her artistic textures

that inspire and allow us all to heighten our creativity ... xo

"Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does." James 1:23-25

Texture Tuesday - The Garden Party Edition

Kim Klassen Texture: Stained Linen

We still have snow on the ground and puddles of melting snow everywhere so I used this picture from last September for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday. I used Kim's textures Warm Sun and Soft Shale.

This is one of my most favorite statues at The Huntington. The turtles are real and I love the reflection.

For six word story.

Kim Klassen textures: Felicity and Plaster Squared. Gradient layer, blending modes, and color burn applied.

Taken in natural light near window, winter morning sun.

Wonderfully flavorful oranges with quite a tough skin. Their name is appropriate. The color of the flesh resembles a ruby grapefruit.

for 7DoS: sadly, not in my garden - I should try to remedy that!

I do not know which butterfly this one is and meant to put it in a couple of weeks ago but didn't for whatever reason.

Now it will fit for "Dried"

7 Days of Shooting – Week #10 (w/b 18 September) Dried - This week it has to be nice and dry, not wet or damp just nice and dry! Dried fruit, dried herbs, parched landscapes or riverbeds …. nice and dry!!
