Fee’-bee! Fee’-bee! We are hearing the buzzy song of the Eastern Phoebe in our backyard. These flycatchers spend the winter in the southeastern United States and return to our area to breed. It’s good to have them back!
For Texture Tuesday.
Just a note to all my Flickr friends:
Please don't take the time to thank me for my comments, I know you are grateful. And I also know how precious time is - I'd rather you take that time to take more lovely photographs!!
The iris are from a bouquet that was given to me a couple of weeks ago.
Happy Texture Tuesday!
Be well dear friends and thank you for visiting!
They are still here fishing the low tide. I'll miss them so much when they head south:(

Going back into the archives to find something with texture.
This may be texture overkill. There are a couple of buildings and a trailer and some junk stuff all of which have different textures.
I guess we must embrace texture or everything would be smooth. For instance, skin would have no wrinkles. Well, to heck with embracing texture!
I often take this back road through Warner Park in the morning for a beautiful calm start to my day.

When the cygnets are in need, the cob just rushes in to defend them…
Mute Swans are one of Britain's largest and heaviest birds, with a wingspan of up to 240 centimeters. Male swans (known as cobs) are highly territorial and first threaten intruders, striking an aggressive pose with wings arched over their back, before charging at them to chase them off.

This forgotten 1930's era radio is quite a gem to be found in a long abandoned farmhouse. Fact is though,it needs to be saved if it is ever going to restored pretty quickly-the cabinet is decaying badly. By the way,the frequency it was set at was 720,WGN in Chicago....
Another favorite subject, dandelions! Working into the sun this morning I was having a difficult time getting autofocus to work so I had to manually focus which for some reason I don't trust my own eye as well. Happy and surprised with the results.
Sharing my wishes to have a great week!

Alligator along Wading Bird Way at Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland, FL.
We just recently switched to Lightroom CC and I am noticing my EXIF data is no longer showing up. Does anyone have any tips? My Flickr settings have not changed. I export the image onto my desktop to post in FLICKR.
Happy Textural Tuesday!

Just months away from collapse, this charming one room schoolhouse was saved and now is nearly fully restored. After interior work is completed, it will be opened for today's school children to get a feel of what is was like going to school in the first part of the 1900's.
And being less than a mile away from a new Hurt's Donuts doesn't hurt it's exposure either. My wife was munching on one as I was wading through the snow drifts taking these pictures....LOL

HAPPY TUESDAY'S TEXTURES !!
This is an abstract-reality view of where two walls meet.
One a stone block wall, and a other stucco-covered wall.
The latter has been covered with spray-painted "flowers."
They border a small public park:

I found this old peeling paint on a shutter at the historic Shirley Plantation in Virginia and could not resist capturing both the color and texture.

Happy Texture Tuesday!
Two tiny pink flowers,I put them on top of one of the peonies.
I added Kim Klassen's stamps, fringe-1 and fringe-2.
These stamps are on the edges of the photo so the flowers jump out more.
Made for Texture Tuesday 2.0 and for LCoF.

A goal for myself...this year is to capture a crow in flight. Although the head isn't quit in focus I'm somewhat happy. But the search goes on...
After this I saw a juvenile crow and it's mamma in the tip of a tree.
Have a lovely Textured Tuesday!
