Brown Eyed Susans are quite prolific this year. This roadside cluster caught my eye.

The effect of the frost on the web on the mirror of my car, yesterday morning. It was beautiful, but within 10 minutes of me starting up my engine and driving off, there were just a few strand left. The poor spider created a piece of art and I destroyed it:-(.
I'm not sure if at anytime this barrier would have stopped the sea but I guess the seagulls enjoy a rest, now and again!!

7 Days of Shooting – Week #31 (w/b 05 February) Time - tick tock, tick tock ~ yes, clocks, watches or what other ways can we measure time but remember to take time out and breathe as time moves in only one direction!
Apologies for MIA, we are on the move for a few months, will post when I can. Cheers
This is the clock tower over Central Railway Station in Sydney taken some time ago.
#TP56 - Squares and grids surround us in our built environment. Focus in on some squares today and make a photograph.
For Texture Tuesday - them was add a quote. This was my first time adding a quote to a photo, it was pretty easy, but I didn't make it very attractive!
I drive past this wall on my way to and from work every day. These braces were installed on a small portion of the wall about a month ago.

Original shot with my iPhone, processed with two apps, then layered with Kim's texture 'sonnet magic reversed' and French Kiss's 'Ambrotype' from the Glorious Grunge Collection.
A gift from my mum and dad for my 18th birthday, 41 years ago on the 12th of this month. Aaaarrrrggghhhh! Where did the time go?!
Kim Klassen Texture Tuesday.
Touch of drama preset. Another snowy winter day in northeast PA. The dock won't be ready for use anytime soon. The ice is still very thick. kimklassen.com
This time of year I frequently pinch off a few mint leaves on my way in the door to put in the cool glass of water I get first thing when I get home.

When I was little my family used to go to Disneyland once every other year. So it was a special treat. My sisters and I would always try to be the first to spot the Matterhorn because that meant we were almost there. The wire stretching from the top of the mountain ends at the castle. In the 1960's Tinker Bell used to fly at night along that wire.
Indigenous people soaked the bark of the Umbrella Bush Wattle (Acacia ligulata) in water or boiled it and the decoction was used as a cough medicine for sore throats and a remedy for dizziness and nerves/anxiety. People in the Western Australian region would also char the shrub and mix the ash ash with a native tobacco (Pituri) for chewing to relieve sore gums.
7 Days of Shooting – Week beginning 16th December Remedies: medical or natural. What do you turn to to feel better/stay healthy? Photograph anything from a cough bottle to a herb.

for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday -- softly textured with her "Not to Shabby" texture. I'm grateful for a nice warm house and a cup of delicious hot chocolate on this chilly, grey, November day.
Hey, I even managed to get a blog post up!! ; )
The seats outside this little neighborhood deli are a favorite place to enjoy a sandwich.

Beyond Layers Day 10 - Painterly Effect.
Kim Klassen textures: Finale & Sienna.
Multiple adjustments similar to Kim's recipe in Beyond Layers.
Love how the effects transformed this image from modern blah to vintage warm.
I think of food, water and shelter as basic human rights. If I could have one wish for Christmas it would be that there was no hunger anywhere. I thought my snack this evening made for nice image of texture. 7 Days of shooting theme this week is All I want for Xmas. Texture Tuesday.
It seems appropriate to have Daisy in my final 365D photo, as she has "helped" throughout the years I've done 365D.

I found this old camera amongst my grandmother's belongings that were sent to me after her death. I had just started thinking about trying to find one to try out the TTV photography that is so popular now, but they always cost a little too much for me. This one is in really good condition. I wish I could find film for it and a bulb for the flash. I am hoping to try some TTV soon.
The challenge this week for Texture Tuesday was to go vintage. I was planning to use this image last week until she announced the challenge for this week. The textures, of course, are from Kim Klassen. I used SweetTart, Warm Vignette, and Warmly Vintage.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments on my textured images. I am still learning and enjoying it. Thanks to Kim for the great freebies each week and the wonderful tutorials!
I love the texture of the water in this image.

I reprocessed this image especially for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday. Texture is Kim's 'serious magic', blend mode, screen, 76%. Also ran an action by Isabelle LaFrance from her Mini Summer Bliss set ~ 'lazy days'.
My family lived in the desert southwest for several years when I was a child. It left me with an appreciation for the beauty of open spaces. Bruneau Canyon, Idaho is one of the most spectacular places I have ever seen - beautiful, intimidating, and breathtaking. (I haven't been there for several years so I am representing it out of my archives.)

Dore is on the outskirts of Sheffield and is very much an active village with many traditions. At this time of year, like many other villages the wells are dressed for gala week.
This detail is from the Well Dressing made by the local Guides and is based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
It seems like an ideal subject for Texture Tuesday.
