142031 takes a short breather between duties at Lancaster before heading back to Barrow-in-Furness, with 156463 trailing behind for dear life.
Due to the rain, I never got to see much out of the window along the Cumbrian Coast, the windows were all steamed up. It was quite warm onboard considering. There was even a nice flat wheel to listen to for the entire five hours I spent on the thing.

In the late 1960s, around the time the Transport Act of 1968 was being implemented along with various PTAs and PTEs, there was a flurry of activity in Liverpool, backed by the City Council, to develop a transport strategy for the city and the soon to be formed Metropolitan County of Merseyside. One key component of this was the development of sections of underground railways in Liverpool city centre that was designed to utilise existing, mostly third rail electrified, railways that would allow for two main outcomes.
Firstly, better penetration of the central area than the existing lines could offer - most notably in the case of Exchange station that was arguably on the northern fringe of the centre by building the 'Link' line from Moorfields through Central and on to the Garston lines. This cleverly made use of some tunnel sections that the 'Loop' line would free up as we shall see.
Secondly to improve capacity on the existing 'Wirral lines' that, using the original Mersey railway tunnel, terminated in a reversing tunnel at Central station. This was to be achieved by a single line 'loop' via Moorfields, Lime St and back to Central, that allowed 'through running' as well as better connections and that was complemented by a new birrowing junction to segregate the running lines under Birkenhead at Hamilton Square.
Backed by the DoE and the PTE the British Railways Board undertook the works for both schemes and work started in c1972 and mostly completed by 1977. Sadly, two other components of the wider scheme, the Edge Hill spur and the Outer Loop railway, were cancelled leaving just the third rail operated Wirral and Northern lines of today - with the City line out on something of a limb in many senses.
The network created by these works has been expanded, with some extensions and new stations, although some of the wider ambitions seen in these three publications are still discussed to this day.
The third publication is a typewritten information sheet issued by British Rail on the Liverpool Mersey Railway scheme and the Construction of the Link Line. Undated it appears to have been issued around 1975 and I have included the pages and map on "other third rail electrification schemes under consideration" - these being within Merseyside as well as looking at connections north and west, to Wigan and towards Warrington, as well as south to Chester and Wrexham. Many of these schemes have had many proposals, discussions, delays and cancellations since this document was produced. Admittedly, some of the western proposals have seen improvements by the slow expansion fo 25kv AC overhead electrification, but others...

The Reliant Fox is a small four wheeled glass fibre utility vehicle manufactured by the Reliant Motor Company in Tamworth, England between 1983 and 1990. It used 850 cc aluminium engine and was technically based on the Reliant Kitten with which it shares its chassis, engine and running gear (with some modifications).
It's history however is a little convoluted. Reliant had exported technology and designs to sevral overseas companies, one of which was MEBEA of Greece. in the late 1970s MEBEA attempted to develop a "passenger-utility" vehicle, a type very popular in Greece at the time due to a law allowing such cars to be taxed as commercial vehicles They modified the Reliant Kitten chassis, that they were building under licence in Greece, to accommodate higher loads and developed the prototype of a light utility vehicle with glass-fiber reinforced composite body. In order to produce it MEBEA needed Greek type approval, which was complex and expensive so MEBEA sought an overseas partner as the procedure was much easier for vehicles already certified in another country. The car was produced by MEBEA in Greece as the MEBEA Fox between 1979 and 1983, when the law favoring such cars was changed; sales dropped and production was terminated after about 3000 had been built.
The car had a "second life" though, as Reliant itself started producing it in the UK after 1983, as an informal successor to the Kitten. About 600 were built in the UK until 1990.

I walk to my closet. Put on a suit and walk out of the warehouse I am hiding in.
I chose this warehouse because it is just a block away from my old house.
I walk to a street-side flower-shop. Pick a bouquet of red carnations. These used to be Rose's favorite flowers. I don't know why I am hung up on Rose so much. It's been decades since I've seen her.
I walk over to the house I used to call my own... This is where it happened.

Gah come on. I got to find Rose. She will be the only one to understand what I'm going through. She'll be the only one to love me while I go through this.
I hail a taxi and jump in the back seat.
"Pérez Street. Hurry."
The taxi driver steps on the peddle and the car starts moving towards Pérez Street.
The car gets near a flower-shop.
"Stop."
I grab a wad of cash I stole. Hand it to the driver and he speeds off.
I grab another wad from my pocket and give it to the clerk at the flower-shop. Grab a bouquet of red carnations and walk down to my house.
I am startled by the sight. Patrol cars swarming my house. Caution tape around the sidewalk fending off pedestrians.
I run up to the tape and say that it's my house and they let me by.
I run up to the fence and rest my shoulder on the post. I get the engagement ring out of my pocket and look at it.
A cop walks out of the house and has a saddened look on his face.
"What happened here?"
"Murder."
"What? Who died? How did this happen?"
"Rose Daniels. Suspect is still unknown. Killer did it with a knife. He slit her throat and shot her in the chest."
I drop the ring and the bouquet of flowers. How could this happen? If I could have just gotten home yesterday. If I could have gotten home an hour ago. If I never went back to war. Who ever did this will pay...

T-800 Terminator from Terminator 2 Judgment Day by Great Twins.
I've had this Terminator figure for a few years now and it's decent but could have and should have been better. So the second time holding the figure the left hand just broke off (see pictures) and this is the first time I've had the figure out of the box since then.
My first attempt at anything like this and without the aid of a tutorial.
Terminator side consists of 3 different photos, face, eye and neck "muscle". Nuclear scene reflected in glasses is from Terminator 2 movie.
I did it in black and white to make it simpler but may try again in future with blood and muscle layers and also leave out the glasses.
A slight fractal filter was added but it is very subtle.
Advice, critisism and observations are all welcome and preferred rather than group awards etc.
