He has had the honor of performing with such nationally recognized recording artists as Arrested Development and Electric Six.
Charlie Brown Superstar is also one of the first House music dj's in the area and was the resident at the legendary local venue Gyrationz (the first club to feature an all EDM format) He is known for his marathon sets of Deep House and Electro.
In addition, Charlie Brown Superstar is an LBA Records recording artist and has been composing original electronic music since 1999. He did sampling for and toured with the popular local rock band, Chum, during the mid-90's and is currently a member of the critically acclaimed drone/doom metal band, Hyatari. His influences include everything from Mercury Rev, Gary Numan, Curtis Mayfield, H.G. Lewis, robots and even B-movies.

We're so proud to announce one of our next main guests, we've all known him for years from his roles alongside Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in classic films such as Hot Fuzz and The World's End. Others know him from Peaky Blinders where he plays the role of Father John Hughes. We are of course talking about the immensely talented Paddy Considine!
His most recent and most notable main role is that of King Viserys in House of the Dragon : A very popular character with fans.
A kind and thoughtful man, he never longed for the cutthroat world of Westeros with his big heart and gentle nature, but he had to work extremely hard to regain viewers' trust after a shocking incident at the start of the show.

Joint Strike Fighter - F35A - aka Lightning II
I got to go out with a talented aviation photographer (thanks Carl) to attempt to capture the image of this new fighter jet in motion. I had a borrowed 55-250mm (thanks Ryan!) and the advice of said aviation photographer for adjusting my camera settings. I was in the crunchy grass in total dressy work attire (complete with heels) to catch these shots - but I loved it!
This project has been a blast so far and I've got some really great people supporting me (holding me accountable) and helping me find new subjects and new experiences (thanks to Dennis for introducing me to Carl). Some days are better than others in both my desire to push my skills or even try to take interesting pics. But, I've learned TONS since January 1st because of the daily picture taking.
***I also got this one on the ground and a beauty shot (cropped side shot) in the air where you can see the cool lightning marks on the side. This plane is BRAND NEW - one of the first ones of its series and it just rolled off the production line to get PR shots.
It wasn't enough that she climbed an Osage Orange tree (thorns!) barefoot, Connie also did assorted hand stands while she was up there. She does things in trees, on wheels, paddle boards, etc. that I would have to think about for a long time before I would attempt them on a well padded floor. Yes, I am a coward on occasion....

The districtwide Gifted and Talented Science Fair featured everything from how the tastiest cookies rise to how noses work to how Star Wars droid BB-8 manages to roll around and keep his head balanced. Students from kindergarten through 5th grade presented their projects to judges without any help from parents. First, second and third prizes were awarded in each age group, and students from almost every elementary school participated.

One of the many talented musicians, singers, and dancers on the Swor Auditorium stage at MC's annual International Festival Friday night. Students from around the globe showed off their musical skills. Others took part in a fashion show. Agnes www.flickr.com/photos/agnesskula/ is a friend of mine, and a member of my photography club. Yesterday evening, she invited the club to her home, and served (amongst other things) those beautiful Santa hats.
THOUGHT provoking work by some of Darlington’s most talented young artists is to go on display at a memorial ceremony to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Art and design students from Darlington College will exhibit their work following a service, organised by Darlington Borough Council, at Darlington Art Centre, Vane Terrace, on Thursday 27 January, at 1pm.
Darlington College tutor in art and design Donna Slyfield said: “We were very honoured to be asked to be a part of the town’s Holocaust Memorial Day.
“Our students’ artwork reflects a very personal response to the theme of this year’s event ‘Untold Stories’.
“It was quite a challenging brief for them and they have all done extensive research into the Holocaust to understand how they could relate it to their own lives and into their work which is also inspired by their hopes for the future.”
More than 20 pieces of art and textile work will be put on display at the service which commemorates the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and remembers those who suffered as a result of the Holocaust and recent genocides.
Student Abbie Cleminson, 23, of Darlington said: “I was inspired by the effect the Holocaust had on so many people so I asked as many of my family and friends to make handprints attached to positive messages.
“I learnt about the Holocaust at school but revisiting the subject was very emotional. I hope that our work reflects the messages of the past and hope for the future.”
Danielle Wheatley, 19, of Darlington, said: “Learning about the Holocaust had a profound effect on me not only in my work but also in my personal life.
“I never really learnt about the war when I was younger but I became so moved by researching the past for this project that as well as my artwork I now have a tattoo with a quote from Anne Frank’s book on my wrist so I will never forget.”
Schools across the borough will be invited to attend the service which will feature readings, dance and dramatic presentations, music, singing and prayer as well as a Jewish Refugee’s Story by Walter Knoblauch from the Association of Jewish Refugees.
The Mayor of Darlington, Coun Bryan Thistlethwaite, said: “This year the organisers of Holocaust Memorial Day are urging us all to listen to each other, and to those who have suffered in the past, to ensure these atrocities are neither forgotten nor repeated.
“I would urge everyone to come along to the ceremony at the Arts Centre to reflect on the past and look forward to the future.”
Members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Are you looking for some new decorations to decorate your living room? Maybe you want to decorate a nursery, bedroom or your working area? I've been looking for some letters and different signs with lights to bring some playfulness to our room. My shelves are already decorated with small white wooden letters, but now I want to have a bigger one with small lights. My first thought was (as always), how can I make it? :)
I used:
- 1 foam board, you can use a cardboard
- fairy lights (50 lights on a chain)
- pencil
- ruler
- snap blade utility knife
Extra:
- sketch paper
- hot glue
First, I draw a sketch of the letter on a piece of paper, with the position of all the holes for the lights. I transferred the measurements to the back of the foam board, then I cut the letter out. (When you are cutting the foam board, it's very important that you keep your knife sharp.) On the back of the letter, I marked the position of all the holes, which I made with the sharpened pencil. Make sure that the distance between two holes is not larger than the distance between two LEDs on a chain. I pushed the LEDs through the holes in the foam board one by one and I left some of the lights on the back of the letter. If you already like the result, you can end here and just lean the letter on the wall as you can see in the photos below.
I didn't like the visible LEDs and the edges of the holes that I made with the pencil, therefore I decided to make another letter M, but transparent, so the light could pass through. I cut another M out of the foam board and I cut out its "core", if I can name it like this :) so I got the 1,5 cm wide frame. I covered the empty space with the sketch paper.
In between both Ms I glued some 3cm long pieces of foam board, to keep the distance. You can check the final result below. :)
