EXTREMELY VOCAL, and can be a proficient mimic of both animate and inanimate sounds. Love the way a starling walks with characteristic swagger, and the flight is rather undulating and the wings look pointed and triangular in outline. /// SOMETHING out of the norm. for me, but felt it had something of appeal going for it, so have risked posting it, hope you enjoy it.

Talented Gnaoua musicians and singers in Khamlia a village in eastern Morocco on the edge of the Sahara desert. These musical families start to train their youngsters to play traditional instruments when they are very young. The little boy in the picture had been performing with this group for a year, he was only allowed to perform the easier numbers and routines.

Recently, my very talented friend Sparkle told me about Siargao Island, a new Philippines themed tropical destination, and took me to go and see it.

I've posted a short piece about it, and will do a longer one when I go and stay at the guesthouse / villa in the next few weeks.

However until then I can say that it's beautifully done and I definitely recommend going.

Random Goodness Working Towards a Better World

Talented pelicans attract an audience in St. James's Park, London.

They don't sing show tunes from Les Miserables though.

They just peck at each other.

Katla is an Icelandic volcano covered by the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap in the south of the country. It lies to the east of Eyjafjöll, another volcano considered to be related to Katla. It is one of Iceland's most active and destructive volcanoes, responsible for several jökulhlaups (glacial lake outburst flood).

Another talented singer who died tragically young. Time will not allow me to give an entire backstory about him. I am thankful that I remember him while he was still alive. my parents were fans of his music, and I'm a fan to this day. He spent most of his career with Motor Town (now Motown) Records before transitioning to CBS (now Sony) Records. Sadly, for people my age, Sexual Healing was his last hit on the airwaves, whereas his prior jams such as "Heard It Through The Grapevine", "I'll Be Doggone", "What's Going On?" just to name a few, literally, were but a sample of what defined him as a musician. Sadly, on April 1, 1984, one day before his 45th birthday, he was shot by his father during an altercation.

Marvin Gaye would be 82 years old if he were alive today. Still one of the greats to this day.
