So this is my entry for Round 34 of Get Pushed.
This time, I was paired with the very talented leadingedgephotography, go check out her fab nature shots.
Her challenge to me was to recreate a painting.
Well I searched for ages for a suitable piece of art without much success until I paid a visit to Tate Modern last week and spotted a painting by the French artist Francis Picabia and decided that this would be my challenge.
I set up a screen with a strobe behind and shot my silhouette against the screen, then combined this with a leaf photo that I shot back in 2012 (just realised this is the date that is showing up on Flickr). A bit of PS helped to add the text and make a few corrections to the figure and ball.
A copy of the original and my set up shot are below - just to prove the date!
Thanks for the challenge Andrea - it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot more about the "puppet warp" function in PS too!

Sean is my multitalented brother-in-law. He knows how to make people laugh; how to make them feel good about themselves; how to make friends out of strangers.
We are in a Chinese restuarant. I am about to take Sean out to buy dress clothes for a wedding. The father of the bride is a collegue of mine but Sean knows the whoe family better than I do.
Sean's main criteria in selecting a sport coat, slacks, shirt, shoes, etc. was how much he would look like Michael Jackson, his fallen hero. Every pair of shoes he tried on had to pass the "moon-walk" test.

Adam was born to a multi-talented beauty queen Mother and a Father who, in addition to being a US Army Spy and a Counter-Intelligence Special Agent, was also a highly accomplished entrepreneur. Adam was taught at a young age that, in both life and business, loyalty is a requirement for success. He’s had the honor of working directly with his father in several of the family businesses. Middlebury, Vermont USA • Signage detail, by the talented folks at LandWorks & Sensible World, at the Marble Works, a vibrant, mixed residential & commercial complex, with fine restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, a seafood market, galleries & a wide-variety of services.
The text reads: – – – Into the Earth
If you could dig down where you're standing, you would find marble. You can see chunks of it along the banks of the Otter Creek, where the first marble quarries in Middlebury were located. By the time the Marble Works was in operation, smaller quarries were being worked around town.
Marble is a metamorphosed form of the sedimentary rock, limestone. In Vermont, it is found in a narrow band running in a north / south direction from the southern Champlain Valley through proctor, near Rutland. It forms a rich base for agriculture as well as supplying some of the most beautiful white marble in the world.
This photograph shows Quarry #5 of the pits that gave Middlebury's Quarry Road its name. The quarries were open pit operations, worked with simple hand tools. A small track carried a metal cart right up to where the menwere taking out the stone. Much of the ruck was crushed into different grades for agricultural use or paving.

• The Brandon Italian Marble Works moved from Brandon in 1898 to a large site conveniently located between the Middlebury Falls and the railroad station. The company built four, long, single story buildings and sheds of rough laid scrap blocks of marble.

Though he enjoys spinning tech house and trance, he has earned his name through consistently dropping the freshest in electro, dubstep, and trap for the underground rave scene.

He currently holds residency at the V Club, where he DJ's the area's most popular and longest-running dance night, New Moon on Mondays, mixing the best new wave, rock and pop that the 80's had to offer. He has had the honor of performing with such nationally recognized recording artists as Arrested Development and Electric Six.
Charlie Brown Superstar is also one of the first House music dj's in the area and was the resident at the legendary local venue Gyrationz (the first club to feature an all EDM format) He is known for his marathon sets of Deep House and Electro.
In addition, Charlie Brown Superstar is an LBA Records recording artist and has been composing original electronic music since 1999. He did sampling for and toured with the popular local rock band, Chum, during the mid-90's and is currently a member of the critically acclaimed drone/doom metal band, Hyatari. His influences include everything from Mercury Rev, Gary Numan, Curtis Mayfield, H.G. Lewis, robots and even B-movies.

On a Friday night when the Rosman Tigers took on a talented Cherokee HS football team, plans were already in motion for a great night throughout the town. Capping things off with a 46-22 dismantling of the Braves only added to the joy and festivity of a crisp, fall evening in Rosman.
Senior Night brought out balloons, painted Tiger Paws all over Silversteen Stadium, and recognition of all the seniors who joined their family members on the field for a special farewell and balloon release on behalf of cancer fighters who are sorely missed or continuing their battle.
The PINK OUT was another celebration and remembrance, as part of Brittany Kirby's senior project. Kirby devised the front logo on the pink T-shirts seen here in memory of her grandmother. Part of the proceeds from shirt sales and 50/50 that night are going to care for cancer patients at Duke Cancer Center, where her grandmother was cared for before her passing earlier in 2014. Also, a part of the proceeds will go to Relay for Life.
The Tigers football team and coaches wore pink socks and T-shirts as part of the PINK OUT celebration. Cheerleaders wore T-shirts, plus extra headgear and ribbons to mark Senior Night as well.
At halftime, Hall of Fame candidates and family members were brought to the field to be inducted during the third annual recognition ceremony. In all five categories voted on and announced each year, the new inductees were:
James Bryan "Jimmy" Meece - Inspirational Experiences
Lee Powell - Career Success
Mildred Powell - Athletic Achievement
E.F. Tilson - Contributions to RHS
Chris Whitmire - Public Service
Tawny McCoy received the award on behalf of the late Mr. Tilson, and Kim Meece on behalf of her departed husband, Jimmy.
Finally, the band ushered in a Senior Night surprise when Avengers Iron Man and Captain America appeared as part of the superheroes-themed production.
On top of all this, Rosman HS FCA invited the entire community to their 4th Annual Block Party in front of the high school. Hot dogs, cold and hot drinks, s'mores and bonfires, all featured in an enjoyable and festive evening to celebrate the Tigers victory and many emotional events of the night.

Benny Venom has been spinning the hardest tracks EDM has had to offer for the past 5 years. He is well known in his hometown for his high energy performances, dirty tracks, and superb mixing ability. Hailing from northern California, he has performed in cities all around his hometown and the bay area including San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Oakland. Though he enjoys spinning tech house and trance, he has earned his name through consistently dropping the freshest in electro, dubstep, and trap for the underground rave scene.

Charlie Brown Superstar (aka Brett Fuller) has been spinning records in Huntington's most popular nightclubs since
1994, covering a wide range of musical genres. He currently holds residency at the V Club, where he DJ's the area's most popular and longest-running dance night, New Moon on Mondays, mixing the best new wave, rock and pop that the 80's had to offer. He has had the honor of performing with such nationally recognized recording artists as Arrested Development and Electric Six.
Charlie Brown Superstar is also one of the first House music dj's in the area and was the resident at the legendary local venue Gyrationz (the first club to feature an all EDM format) He is known for his marathon sets of Deep House and Electro.
In addition, Charlie Brown Superstar is an LBA Records recording artist and has been composing original electronic music since 1999. He did sampling for and toured with the popular local rock band, Chum, during the mid-90's and is currently a member of the critically acclaimed drone/doom metal band, Hyatari. His influences include everything from Mercury Rev, Gary Numan, Curtis Mayfield, H.G. Lewis, robots and even B-movies.
