i wouldn't make this up. well, i would, but i didn't. she lost to a 10 yr. old existentialist wearing a black leather jacket and wrap-around shades who played bye bye blackbird in his armpit. they asked him for a statement after winning, and he said "i like pie". this should be a picture of him but my contest shots were messy, and existentialists don't loiter. oh, i should add that she was very sweet to pose for me and she was a really good loser.

Benny Venom has been spinning the hardest tracks EDM has had to offer for the past 5 years. He is well known in his hometown for his high energy performances, dirty tracks, and superb mixing ability. Hailing from northern California, he has performed in cities all around his hometown and the bay area including San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Oakland. Though he enjoys spinning tech house and trance, he has earned his name through consistently dropping the freshest in electro, dubstep, and trap for the underground rave scene.

Charlie Brown Superstar (aka Brett Fuller) has been spinning records in Huntington's most popular nightclubs since
1994, covering a wide range of musical genres. He currently holds residency at the V Club, where he DJ's the area's most popular and longest-running dance night, New Moon on Mondays, mixing the best new wave, rock and pop that the 80's had to offer. He has had the honor of performing with such nationally recognized recording artists as Arrested Development and Electric Six.
Charlie Brown Superstar is also one of the first House music dj's in the area and was the resident at the legendary local venue Gyrationz (the first club to feature an all EDM format) He is known for his marathon sets of Deep House and Electro.
In addition, Charlie Brown Superstar is an LBA Records recording artist and has been composing original electronic music since 1999. He did sampling for and toured with the popular local rock band, Chum, during the mid-90's and is currently a member of the critically acclaimed drone/doom metal band, Hyatari. His influences include everything from Mercury Rev, Gary Numan, Curtis Mayfield, H.G. Lewis, robots and even B-movies.

DESTINY CHILD GOSPEL MUSIC TALENT HUNT is a nonprofit kingdom project tailored to give talented gospel music ministers a platform to showcase their creativity and launch them into professional gospel music career. Destiny Child is a brand created to compliment the church in spreading the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. Statistics has shown that Gospel music in Nigeria over the years has declined tremendously and fading off the airwaves based on the fact that the church failed in its statutory responsibility in developing Gospel music and as such, many Gospel music ministers in the Church embrace the world of secular music in return for fame and money.
Destiny child came to bridge this divide and to activate dormant destines by grooming Gospel music ministers who have the passion to affect the world positively.
The inaugural season of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt took place on July 3rd 2012 when Nigeria marked the birth of the first of its kind gospel music Talent Hunt. IT WILL BE RECALLED THAT IN THE 1ST SEASON auditions held across six states in Nigeria (Abuja, Makurdi, Owerri, Port – Harcourt, Benin and Lagos) in search of one child who attains the right to be called Destiny Child. Talented and popular gospel music artists were used as judges and they rated contestants’ performances based on certain criteria and their commitment toward advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Four (4) finalists emerged from each audition zone making a total of Twenty – four (24) contestants, eight (8) were eliminated at the pre-audition stage in Lagos, while sixteen (16) destined contestants made it through to DC City (Destiny Child City) in Lagos State where the competition (Elimination Shows) continued. At DC City, they were groomed spiritually, psychologically,morally and exposed to professional training, week after week, the number DIMINISHED until the final six emerged, tagged ‘THE SUPREME SIX (6)’.
The emergence of six dynamic gospel music ministers known as the Supreme Six, made up of Israel Funsho who emerged the winner of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt Season One, Femi Flame who happens to be the 1st runner up, Rasine Brown the 2nd runner – up, Shalom Olurunfemi, David Agbroko and Ojoh Frances who were the other three finalists.
The Supreme Six embarked on a nationwide gospel praise party tagged “PRODUCT OF HOPE” where they performed hit songs from their albums. The Gospel praise party kicked off from Lagos, then to Akure, Ilorin, Calabar, Port–Harcourt, Makurdi, and Abuja. Product of Hope activated the enthusiasm of Christians in gospel music and it was indeed a testimony as we kept receiving great deeds of God.
The second edition of this project kicked off in August 2013, with auditions in nine states in Nigeria (Abuja, Makurdi, Owerri, Port-Harcourt, Uyo, Asaba, Benin, Ekiti and Lagos). Audition judges were picked from each state (Audition zone) for the purpose of diversity in music genre, style, culture and language; all contestants were rated judiciously irrespective of style and language. Two contestants were picked from each audition zone EXCLUDING EKITI AND LAGOS WHERE 1 AND 3 CONTESTANTS WHERE SELECTED RESPECTIVELY making a total of 18. The 18 finalists made it through to DC City and made history with every passing episode. They were groomed spiritually, psychologically and exposed to professional music. At DC City, they were specifically schooled to lift the name of the God and our world with power of their voice and soul.
Season two (2) came to an end with outstanding performances from the finalists called “THE PROLIFIX”. For the very first time history was made as the crowned title was destined for a girl (Joy Ebiem aka J’dess) from the slums of Lagos, she emerged as the winner of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt Season 2. She won a brand new car, cash prize of a million Naira, Record deal worth millions of Naira (courtesy of Autograph Records). The 1st runner – up Hope Levi and the 2nd Runner – up Ese Okoro aka EseQlic also won record deals worth millions of Naira each (courtesy of Autograph Records). The trios have each released their debut single, spreading across the airwaves, touching the lives of men and women, with an inflow of testimonies every day.
This milestone wouldn’t have been completed without the immense support of our online media partners, who have worked tirelessly, day and night in advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their various platforms.
Destiny Child award-winning Gospel singing competition returns for a third season of awe-inspiring gospel performances, kicking off with the much-anticipated audition process.
Destiny child gospel music talent hunt season three will follow a different dimension compared to season one and two due the current state of our country Nigeria. In this regard, auditions for this season will be held ONLINE and one regional audition in Lagos state.
Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt season three online registration and auditions will kick off on the 10th of November to end 8th of December, while online registration for Lagos regional audition will end on the 14th of December 2014.
All intending contestants across the States in Nigeria will register online and then upload a one minute video to www.destinychild.com.ng. A panel of qualified and magnificent judges will review all the songs online and give their verdict before selections will be made for the final phase which will take place on the 15th of December 2014, at Aquatic hotels (Water parks) Ikeja Lagos, by 8 am prompt.
CONTESTANTS WHO ARE ABLE TO UPLOAD THEIR VIDEOS ONLINE ARE ENCOURAGED TO make their way to Lagos at the said date, time and venue for the regional audition.
Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt season three show will have only one regional audition, one episode and one winner.
Six finalists will emerge from the regional audition in Lagos and then converge at DC City, Lagos State where they will minister on Destiny Child Stage before the panel of judges and audience. The judges will give their verdict and announce the winner of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Season Three.
The well-established gospel show welcomes back multiple Award winning music legend Wole Oni, producer of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt U-cheena and the new addition to the panel Omotola Omoniyi, C.E.O of Praise World Radio as the esteemed judges for this season, with Quest, Ibrahim Suleiman as the Host of the show.
Despite the challenges, lack of sponsorship, and the high hurdles we are determined to bring back the lost glory of gospel music in Nigeria.
The online media platform has proven to be a major pillar/player in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ; it has a strong influence on our interested demography (i.e. the youths).
We want to use this medium to employ the help of our online media partners to spread the message of Destiny Child Gospel Music Talent Hunt to our interested demographic population, enlightening them on the vision, the mission of the quest, the process involved and the benefits. We pray that God will continue to increase you beyond your imagination and reward you endlessly as you partner with us to promote this project.
The hunt for ‘Destiny Child’ will be live on the following TV stations Kingdom Africa, AIT, Channels Tv, Loveworld Plus, Praise World Radio, Dove TV, Super Screen, Ekiti TV, CRBC, DBS, Enugu State Broadcasting TV, X2D, Metro Digital, Startimes.

"He is talented, very talented, but has no brains," was Geoff Boycott's on-air verdict after Virender Sehwag's attempt to hook a ball from outside off stump found the fielder at deep square leg and triggered a first-innings collapse at the SSC.
Sehwag's response to a question regarding his approach after his maverick innings - a 15th Test century at a strike-rate of 104.91 - was deadpan. "How can I stop the way I've played?" he said. "Yes, there is pressure if wickets fall and you think 'What if I go for a shot and get out too?' But if that happens you're never going to score runs."
After two batting collapses in the first Test it was imperative that India got a solid start. Sehwag provided that by using a simple mantra: if the ball is there to be hit, hit it. Circumstances rarely affect Sehwag and he put the pedal to the metal. A whip off the pads past midwicket got him started, a wild sweep that was unsuccessfully referred didn't stall him, and when he charged Ajantha Mendis and swung him over cow corner for six, Sehwag was at full throttle.
The stand-out feature was the effortless manner in which Sehwag handled Mendis, who was virtually unplayable in Colombo. The key, in his own simple words, was that here Sehwag "picked him [Mendis] off the track, from where the ball pitched", something only he and and Sachin Tendulkar have managed to do in this series.
When Mendis tossed the ball up on middle and off, Sehwag smothered the spin, and when the bowler drifted on to middle, he went back and turned it fine. If it spun in sharply, Sehwag adjusted his back leg and brought his bat down quickly to kill the ball. Sehwag also picked the two-fingered googly and moved back to cut or punch through the off-side. He failed to beat cover with the drive once but replayed the shot two balls later with more power and placed it to perfection. Mendis' first four overs cost 29.
Sehwag accelerated and yet remained in control with Gautam Gambhir, fleet-footed against spin, in the passenger seat. There were cracks at one end of the pitch and Nuwan Kulasekera asked a few questions but Sehwag steered clear of them. He cut Muttiah Muralitharan's first ball, a doosra from around the stumps, to reach his half-century off 50 balls. His strike rate, like a speedometer, fluctuated from 60 to 98 and beyond. India's 100 came from 115 balls and Sehwag's contribution was 59.
Like Sri Lanka did at the SSC, he and Gambhir ran hard, hustling for the second, and constantly looking for scoring opportunities. Sehwag and Aakash Chopra, another Delhi team-mate, did this effectively during the majority of their 19 partnerships, notably in Australia in 2003-04. Some of today's singles were risky but the intent was obvious and it frustrated Sri Lanka.
In the over before lunch, Sehwag put his arm around Gambhir's shoulder and had a word. Gambhir reached his fifty off the next ball and a beaming Sehwag rushed to congratulate him. When Sehwag dabbed a single behind point to raise the 150 partnership, he punched gloves with Gambhir as they crossed. How many batsmen can power a side to 150 for 0 at lunch? The camaraderie was plain to see.
After a four-hour rain delay, Mendis tested Gambhir with his variation but at the other end Sehwag disdainfully smashed Vaas over cow corner off his second ball after the resumption. Two balls later he played a booming straight drive to reach his century, which he celebrated with a proud wave of the bat to the dressing room and an embrace from his partner. His 15th hundred took only 87 balls with 15 fours and two sixes but the message was deeper.
At the MCG, in 2003-04, India were 311 for 3 but collapsed for 366 after Sehwag was dismissed for 195 at the end of the first day. In Adelaide earlier this year Sehwag scored 151 out of India's 269 in the second innings. Today, Sehwag had driven India to a position of strength at 167 for 0 before four wickets fell in 20 balls for 11 runs. As he had done against England in Galle during the winter, Chaminda Vaas, rejuvenated after the rain delay, struck twice in an over. Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly were dismissed with the score on 178 and the morning's work had come undone.
"I didn't notice any change in my batting after the four-hour break in play," Sehwag said. "Every batsman has his own mindset with which he plays, but I just played my shots." Even as stumps approached, Sehwag relied on his base instinct. Mendis went around the stumps and Sehwag used his feet to smash him down the ground and hit two consecutive fours through cover.
Sehwag had fulfilled his responsibility of providing a sound start but the collapse meant that he had to hold the innings together. His unshakeable approach did not change. "I am not satisfied because there's plenty left in this game," was Sehwag's closing statement. "If I can convert this into a double-century or more tomorrow, get India above 400-500, apply pressure on Sri Lanka, then I will be satisfied."
Crushed in Colombo, India arrived in Galle needing to find a way to bounce back. Only a vivid imagination could have conceived of a fightback without it being led by Sehwag. Like the white breakers of the Indian Ocean, lashing across the rocks in the background of the Galle International Stadium, Sehwag has injected life into a one-sided series.
He has brains alright, and he's used them rather well.
