The Rose Bowl is an outdoor athletic stadium in Pasadena, California, just outside of Los Angeles. Built in 1922 and located among the San Gabriel Mountains in the Arroyo Seco of Los Angeles County, the stadium is recognized as a United States National Historic Landmark and a California Historic Civil Engineering landmark. At a modern capacity of 92,542, the Rose Bowl is the 18th-largest stadium in the world, the 12th-largest stadium in the United States, and the 11th largest NCAA stadium.
One of the most famous stadiums in American sporting history, the Rose Bowl is best known as an American football venue, specifically as the host of the annual Rose Bowl Game for which it is named. Since 1982, the stadium has also served as the home stadium of the UCLA Bruins football team. The stadium has also hosted five Super Bowl games, second most of any venue. The Rose Bowl is also a noted soccer (association football) venue, hosting the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final, 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup Final, and the 1984 Olympic Gold Medal Match, as well as numerous CONCACAF and United States Soccer Federation matches.
The Rose Bowl and adjacent Brookside Golf and Country Club are owned by the City of Pasadena and managed by the Rose Bowl Operating Company, a non-profit organization whose board is selected by council members of the City of Pasadena. UCLA and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses also have one member on the company board.
In 2007, Sports Illustrated named the Rose Bowl the number one venue in college sports.

Since I am a huge fan of Jason Momoa I like to write my thoughts about him from time to time. It is clear by now that I find him a very talented actor. The net is buzzing with the tales that, after Jason making a great performance in a screen test for Marvel concerning their new film Drax, he turned down Marvel's bid since it was too low (Marvel being known for giving rather shamelessly low salary to their lead actors). So my photo here, Jason shrugging his shoulder "I don't give a f..." is suitable for the latest news.
My advice to the film production companies (although they never listen to me lol) to offer Jason better roles, where he can show his talents (which I am more than convinced he can) and not portray him as some muscled brainless monster with a heart, which this Drax role is about. I think Jason can do better than that, and I am happy he turned down this Drax role and gave a shrug that he doesn't care. If Marvel cannot pay what he wants, why waste his time with it. I keep my fingers crossed for you Jason to find film roles where you can show and prove yourself, I really think you deserve that chance! Cheers!! /A

Update july 2013 from Sundance Channel: Jason Momoa to Star in Sundance Channel’s ‘The Red Road’ New York, NY - July 19, 2013 –Sundance Channel announced today that Jason Momoa (“Wolves,” Game of Thrones) has been cast in a lead role in the network’s next original scripted series “The Red Road” (formally “The Descendants”).
Well folks, seems someone was listening somehow ;) What I have read on the web is that Jason is extatic about the script so this must be something really extra. Good luck on the series and hope we have the chance to see it in some form in Europe. Don't forget us on the other side of the "puddle"/A

I use a second Nikon D800E with a 600mm TAMRON | SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 zoom to shoot the surfing action! It's on a Gitzo monopod!
