Very enjoyable, but massively challenging and a HUGE learning curve. Already I'm thinking of all the add ons I need kit wise.

The first time I heard this song was this past weekend as a friend sang it to no one in particular out on the snowy streets of Brooklyn. For some reason, it just stuck with me.
This chick came all the way to Connecticut to help me on a shoot that ended up being postponed, so instead I photographed her. We've been talking about it for awhile now, and since I just recently found out she was moving across the country, it was time. I've found Katie to be one of the most sincere people I know and am missing her already.

A pair of fun pictures of lovely Yanellis, from our photoshoot at Lunatic Lens Studio on 6/1/22.
Alien Bees DigiBee800 camera right with a 24"x32" gridded Chimera softbox, main light, camera right. DigiBee800 fired into medium non-gridded Chimera strip bank, fill light, camera left. I used a 3:1 lighting ratio. Rim light behind Yanellis and to her left was an Alien Bees B1600 fired into a gridded 12"x72" Westcott strip bank. Rim light behind Yanellis and to her right was an Alien Bees B1600 with a warm blue gel and a neutral blue gel on barn doors with a 20° grid. The rim lights were set to about 1 stop brighter than the main light. All triggered with Pocket Wizards.
Olympus E-M1X micro FourThirds camera with a Sigma 56mm f1.4 Contemporary lens. ISO 400, f5.6 at 1/160 second.
