Strobism: Main = two SB900 in reflecting Umbrella camera left and right. Rim = two gridded SB800 behind model left and right. Background = one SB900 without mod. Catchlight = one SB900 in huge (200 cm) reflecting Umbrella behind the camera.
Still preparing for the lesson next week, so working at home is in order.
Update: I admit it, the empty wall on the right sucks. I promise a better one for next week.

Mother of Thomasine Virginia (Owings) Dyer, Reverend Henry Page Dyer's wife. Born c. 1832, died probably early 1900s.
Practicing studio portraits. Setting was pretty simple; a soft box on the left-front side. Medium-high and nearby my fellow student. I did not use a reflector on the other side, because I wanted the shadow on his back.

Me looking like a grandmother.

My grandmother in about 1900. She was born in 1877 in Manchester but her widowed mother and some of the children returned to live in London in the 1890s.
1945, Beijing, China --- Chiang Kai-Shek (1887-1975) led Chinese Nationalists against the Communist forces during the long struggle for power.
