i thought about incorporating the idea of string theory, but, well, just reading about that made my head spin, so that was scrapped. then i thought about having a string hanging somewhere with a sign that said 'do not pull' attached. but i got to thinking some more, and, of course, who could resist pulling on the string in that case? so i thought some more, and thought i might be able to secure some ping pong balls. which i did. and thanks to an empty box and some duct tape, i managed to rig a pretty nifty dispenser.

despite my best efforts, i blinked every time the balls hit my head. oh well.

i wasn't actively thinking about it, but this is pretty heavily inspired by captain kangaroo.

Always inspired by Sandra's art and techniques, I decided to give it a whirl. Instead of using a photo or painting, I simply sketched a simple landscape and then tangled away.

Mine, of course, isn't anything much compared to the beauty of Sandra's but it was fun and I'll definitely be doing this again!

Too many blank walls in my house, so I made this to liven up a corner.

old string line, still fully functional. the powder is bright purple. i cleaned out my toolboxes after fixing up my bike last week, so this guy and a few other bits got hauled out to pose.

A string of square photographs on a blue wall inside a post modern expositions. All of them have the same model of a simple white frame. The perspective angle coupled with the wide aperture makes only one of the frames to be in focus.

Here's the top, completed except for the borders - colors chosen on the side. (I want this thing to be queen-sized but am so very done with these blocks.) There are roughly 600 strips of fabric in this, from Elizabeth Hartman's "Valentine" pattern.
