So, 2 days ago, being fed up of both being stuck in to keep an eye on the building work going on, we set each other a challenge. Both to go to the local woods separately and capture 3 scenes of our choice. I took the 28-300mm and the macro lens out, Daniel took the prime lenses 50mm and 85mm. This is one of the shots I decided upon. Unfortunately the woods were full of beer bottles and cans 😡 So I opted to do a sheep shoot in the field next to the woods. This is the first image selected to post.
The following three are Danny's 'efforts' 😂 Absolutely beautiful shots and gorgeous bokeh, and no litter in the frame. my favourite being 'Let there be light' for the tasty bokeh and lens flare.

Another shot from my garden on a rainy morning last week. All of the flowers looked lovely covered in raindrops..but it was the tulips that stole the show. They held the droplets so beautifully...they were swollen and clear looking like glass beads. This tulip in particular looked like it had on a raindrop necklace. Please view large :-)
Thank you so much for the faves and comments...I really do appreciate all the encouragement, and love all of the images and stories you share...they give me so much inspiration :-)
Have a great Monday!
Vas'ka likes to play with a string attached to a stick. Previously, there was a toy kitten at the end of the lace, but Yashka tore it off.
Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!
My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "flexibles".
It shows a set of guitar strings.

A small piece of a kite string formed to a knot which is approx. 2 ¼” x 1.5” in this macro.

Drizzling rain on a string of fairy lights over a Brisbane shopping centre, sees against brown air-conditioning vents.
A shiny stringed instrument washes ashore in near-perfect condition. It's getting harder to find shanties with electricity, gotta do some scrounging, and find a place to plug this thing in.

I wonder how many photos of string have been posted in Flickr throughout the years. Baker's dozen times a couple grand?

Catbirds give the impression of being entirely slate gray. With a closer look you’ll see a small black cap, blackish tail, and a rufous-brown patch under the tail
Gray Catbirds are relatives of mockingbirds and thrashers, and they share that group’s vocal abilities, copying the sounds of other species and stringing them together to make their own song. including the catlike mewing responsible for its name.....a succession of musical and mechanical notes and phrases.
