A shot from a recent light painting mini break in Llanberis.
Great times in great company creating what we love.
Happy days.
Usual procedure here with minimal pp in Lightroom.
My wife let me stop in to the LEGO store on our way to her folk's place for the 4th. She also let me buy the Green Grocer, since I didn't buy any LEGO during our engagement!
I didn't realize till I took this pic, that I had gotten basically pastel colors for myself... But useful, they are!
This adorable dog is Bear, age 8 1/2 months. Bear works at the Ace Hardware in Harvey, outside Marquette.
Once a toy.
Now something else entirely.
The button eyes see everything…
and tonight, they’re watching you.

Leisenring Union Supply Store. It now appears to be some sort of convience store. Wish I had a dollar for everytime we drove by here ant it was still in Union Supply colors.
The Hackberry General Store contains a number of items many might call offensive, such as this Cigar Store Indian. Depending on the age and condition, these statues can be quite valuable. They were originally created in the 1600's in England to indicate a Tobacco shop since natives introduced Europeans to tobacco smoking. Gradually the practice crossed over to the US. Hackberry General Store does sell cigars and if the price were right, they would probably sell their statue as well.

This store is located in a floating village on Tonlé Sap lake in Cambodia. Tonlé Sap is part of the Mekong River system and the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. The size and depth of the lake change dramatically depending on wet or dry season so structures can't sit on pylons.

These are the extra quad-cameras I got at the dollar store. (I got three more than this, one for me, one for my daughter, and one for Dillon.)
I think I have two left (that actually work). To those who already asked for one, they're in the mail. I checked the shutters to make sure they fired ok before sending them off.
CANTON, MICH (2008) - I dropped a lot of money here at the first Ikea store in Michigan. When I was a kid I hit the one in Toronto, Ontario. But not as hard as I did this time. I would love a whole "Ikea house"

This little country store in Lascassas, Tennessee is still open and doing business as it was when I was a college student back in the mid-50's. It isn't very big, but they seem to have absolutely everything.
You might want to stop by sometime if you are ever traveling Hwy 96 a few miles northeast of Murfreesboro in Rutherford County, Tennessee. It isn't on the main road anymore. A new highway by-passed Lascassas by about one block. It would be worth your time to loop through.

I don't normally put several photos on my stream together, but a number of you are interested in the Rock Houses, O I've posted some shots of the interiors. Albeit, their not the best shots!! This was larder/store room.
In The Flatwoods Community of Perry County, Tennessee. In my youth during the 50's and 60's, this was called "Coonhunter's" and the community was quite active. It was a frequent stop for my family when we traveled to Tennessee to visit relatives. Attempts to revive the building through the years as a store, restaurant, and a trading post all failed and there is very little left of the community today.
