New to the Rec/IM building in the 1991-92 school year was the sporting goods store called the "Competitive Edge." This store stocked a complete line of clothes and other work-out essentials. Also the outdoor recreation program which allowed students to rent outdoor recreation equipment such as innertubes, toboggans, camping equipment, tents and even a tug-o-war rope.

I guess Toronto doesn't have an official gear store due to the fact that it'd be vandalized and trashed on a weekly basis.

this store was really cool but it could have been so much better. it was down a little alley with lots of plants and fountains - but really there wasn't enough for sale there..i thought about to open a small shop like this selling garden and art and vintage stuff, but mine would also be a cafe. maybe someday.
Heartfelt messages and items in memory of Steve Jobs were left outside the University Village Apple Store in Seattle starting shortly after word of his death came out.
Here is a ton of pics Christmas store I went to with mom and brother today. Some of it is kinda spooky. But a ton of Christmas towns. Some pics are a little blurry. They have huge displays for plays or some type of theater. You might want to look at the picture in original format for the little town displays.

Located in the Nacoochee Valley Historic District at the intersection of the Nacoochee and Sautee Valleys of Northeast Georgia stands a historic and proud old general store...The Old Sautee Store. When it was built in 1872 it was a true general store. Local residents would come to the store to purchase food, seed, or farm supplies. It served as the local post office for Sautee-Nacoochee until 1913 and as the post office for Sautee until 1962. Through the Nacoochee Valley and directly in front of the store ran the old Unicoi Turnpike, a major thoroughfare from the navigatable end of the Tugaloo River to the Unicoi Mountains of East Tennessee.

inside 1 of the 25 bunkers on this site, mostly all the same inside bar the stuff stored in some of them.
The Victoria & Albert is just a couple of streets away from Harrods. The staff is immensely friendly and they have a terrific stationery department and I'm a weak-willed fool, so when I had finished by business at the museum, I soon found myself in the crush of Saturday-afternoon humanity.
Just to show you how nice the staff is: I announced that I just needed some ink cartridges for my pen, handed over three pounds for a five-pack, and then spent at least twenty minutes trying out $150 fountain pens. And yet they were delighted to assist me.
On my first visit to Harrods, I went into the Mens' Accessories department and asked for absolutely the rock-bottom-cheapest set of cufflinks in the store. (I had packed my tux for a formal event but accidentally took the shirt with French cuffs; character is born from hardship, friends). The clerk brought out a bowl of Chinese macrame links (price: four pounds a pair) and treated me as though I were P. Diddy himself.
It's not often that you encounter a store that welcomes riff-raff with such open arms. Good for them!
