During a recent visit to a Goodwill store, I got a little restless while the clerk was wrapping up my half-dozen Pyrex finds, and so started browsing the nearest rack which happened to be kids clothes. In the midst of all the newer sparkly, spandexy, sassy duds were three little toddler-size dresses that looked awfully out of place. Couldn't stand to leave them behind! This is one of them. A total of five layers, including crinoline. A co-worker suggested they are all from the late 1950's to early 1960's. I wish I'd have had stuff like this when I was little. Digital photo.
This store has been abandoned for almost 25 years. It was a Safeway but they pulled out after their buy out in 1987. May have been something after that but it didn't last long.
There used to be a fast food pad but that building was bulldozed a couple of years ago, there is a former bank building now used by a cleaners and some obscure business using some portion of the shopping center to the east of the grocery store.
Quilt store? When I think of all the marathons, and bike stores, and guitar stores, and noisy concerts I have dragged Margo to I have no problem spending time in a quilt store with her - it's only fair.
Straight out of the 1001 arabian nights Ursa Bazaar is like an eastern palace. A fata morgana in SL a must see. One can only hope to bump into the prince of persia himself around there. In a pavilion by the water UrbanizeD shows a selection from the summer wicker furniture.

This was originally an A&P, which opened in 1957. It became a Farm Fresh in 1982, which closed in fall 1984.
A dollar store mini tripod head attached to a dollar store clamp.
I used a slightly longer bolt than the original and washer to attach the head to the clamp. Great for a flash or point and shoot camera. Maybe some rubber on the clamp so it won't leave marks. Cost $2 :) er..plus taxes.
An Air sitting on a stand rotating with the glass tinted white to look like clouds. This is in front of the West Edmonton Apple Store.

According to Wikipedia the Laine Store at 996 Elizabeth Street was run by the Tilden family from 1865 to 1912. In the 1920's it became a Chinese gambling hall and has a sorted history ever since. It is now just a ghost of its former self lying next to the railroad tracks. Nikon D70 and a Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8 lens. This is a three shot exposure merged in Photomatrix Pro. Base exposure is f/11 at 1.0 sec. [#17305]
