Rushan cheerfully staffs a register at the Field Museum Store. He let me photograph him after he broke the boy's bill for the Mold-A-Rama machine. I wonder if he realizes how many times he's made a child's day with that simple act.
THAT is important work.

Photo taken on Sunday March 2, 2008. Conversion of former Big Lots Store continues into Staples Office Supply Store. Photo taken of future Staples Store.
The future Staples is a Former WT GRANT store that closed in the 1970's. Pic N Save took over the site after Grants closed. The Pic N Save name was subsequently changed a couple of years ago to Big Lots. Big Lots Closed the summer of 2007 and is currently under renovations to become Staples Office Supply Store. On the far left is Ralphs (former Hughes) and on the right is a former Thrifty, now Rite Aid Pharmacy Store. One of xx photos of this shopping center.
With the World War II-era M3 submachine gun (the "grease gun") at the Gun Store in Las Vegas. I also tried the .45 automatic (WWII, Starsky) and .44 magnum (Dirty Harry, Hutch) sidearms. Pretty intense -- probably don't need to do that again.
Vapor World Top brand electronic cigarette store with the largest selection of e-cigarette starter kits, e-liquid, e-Juice, e-cig tanks, mods and vaping accessories.
Lots of stamps- My Melody, Sugarbunnies, Hello Kitty, Shinkansen, and a little bottle. Not pictured are the paper strips I made into lucky stars. :) Thanks Janet!
Opening times of the Nike popup store on Bateman's Row in Shoreditch (open till the end of September).
The dream store has closed. I guess maybe you can't buy them.
Better viewed large. The smaller view looks overly sharpened.
After I left the Boardwalk around midnight, I walked up Highway A1A back to the motel. On the way back, I passed by this store. I'm sure I've driven past this store at night when I was in Daytona Beach last year, but this was the only time I've walked past this store (and taken photos of it) at night.
Here Bryan--remember Bryan?--autographs a bunch of copies of Scott Pilgrim for us, while chatting with Richard about movies, Nova Scotia, or both. Bryan told me that where he lives in Nova Scotia is 9 hours north of the northernmost tip of Maine, which is crazy, considering that Maine is something like two weeks north of here. Phew!
It's actually called, "Old Country Store," but in my mind it's the Lorman store, as it's the one public building I know of in Lorman, Mississippi. It's a beautiful place, dated 1875 ... now owned by Mr. D, who will serve you a very good (if briny) fried chicken meal and all the southern staples to go with it you can imagine: black-eyed peas, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, fried okra, pickled cucumber, collard greens, really amazing cornbread, and sweet, cool watermelon. All of it, all you can eat. Plus, he will sing to you!
All the old perimeter fixtures are still in place, as are the two original rolling ladders, and there's lots of random merchandise scattered about. No order to it, really, and I wasn't even sure it was for sale. But I was given assurances to the contrary, so for my souvenir I picked an old embossed pop bottle to add to my collection. :-)
The Gorilla Baseplate for the EOS C300, Scarlet and Epic cameras is a simpler, lighter version of our C300 Studio Baseplate. It attaches to the camera with 3/8” 16 and ¼” 20 screws*. The Gorilla Baseplate features 15mm diameter, 60mm spaced threaded rod holes in the front of the base plate that allow users to mount a follow focus, lens support or other accessories in front of the camera. The Gorilla Baseplate is not compatible for matte box use unless you have a height adjustable matte box.The Gorilla Baseplate also features our rod port system on the side of the plate which allows you to mount an EVF or other accessories off of the side. The Gorilla Baseplate is great for building simple run’n’gun type set ups like the C300 Target Shooter, C300 Striker and Recoil. It can also be used for a simple tripod set-up. The Gorilla Baseplate does not come with rods, rods must be purchased separately.
