The signage and external decoration of this Disney store are quite nice compared to some of the other ones Ive seen.

The only thing I am 100% sure of is that this picture is the Store at Orr Corners & some of the people in the picture are related to me, everything else is just an educated guess. With that in mind, here goes: The 3 women in the picture are most likely Emma Milne, Grace (Milne) Sperling, & Alice (Milne) Fox; the baby is probably Mildred Sperling (later to be Loubert); the 2 men to the left of the picture are probably Ron & Stanley Fox (my dad is pretty sure of this); the man standing behind the seated woman is probably Floyd Sperling (dad is pretty sure on this one, too); and some where among the other men is William Milne.
This was taken in a shoe store in Hamburg. In the city where I live we don't have such a huge choice of shoes ( also very nice ones! )so I found it was something special.
The ones I bought are unfortunately not in the photo.
Closed former Robinsons-May Beverly Hills Department Store. Originally Robinsons Department Store, several years after May-Co took over the Robinsons Department Store chain, they combined their Southern California May-Co and Robinsons Department Store chains, keeping the best sites and converting them into th Robinsons-May Department Store Chain. This last from approximately 1993 until 2006, when Macy*s took over the corporate commpany: May Department Stores and wiped out all regional names, including Robinsons-May. This site was sold off to deveolpers, awaiting demolition for more Condos, located at the entrance of Beverly Hills on Wilshire at Santa Monica Blvd. in Southern California. Macy*s closed this store and kept a smaller store in Cenury City Mall, where it is co-located with Bloomingdales.
As of the fall of 2014, the building, the landscaping as well as the giant spread out parking structure has been demo'ed. The site is almost completely cleared.
They didn't even try to save any of the old mature landscaping, including years old pine trees.
Since Robinsons May closed, the site has gone through upteenth owners. Not sure who controls the site at this time, but once the new owners were announced. The Demo Permits were obtained, and then they rushed, and now it is gone!

Some additional items for my store diorama. I added some produce I had to little stryafoam trays Also made a balogna and cheese from polymer clay. Now I need to make shelving for the items that don't need to be refrigerated.
Beginning in March 2017, CBMM's Museum Store received new merchandise for the season, with new displays and shelving recently purchased from a local business that had closed. You can shop on line at shop.cbmm.org, with all proceeds benefiting the people and children served by this non-profit museum.
I used to spend summers with my Mashburn kin folk and worked for my uncle in this old "general store".
The road was dirt back then, with drink bottle tops flatten in the dirt out front. Old men sat around on drink crates, whittled, and swapped knives.
Parked outside would be tractors, pickups, and trucks with bulls waiting patiently in the back!
I can still hear the clink of 5 cent drinks in the water cooler, the slicer cutting cheese or bologna, and the smell of the oil based compound used to sweep up the floor.
Across the street, in Five Points, TN, is a new Mashburn Store, where my Aunt Louise still works.

I was picking up my "fixed" Apple CPU from the Apple store at this mall, and liked this sign...good colors.. it was for kids clothing.
I went to the thrift store again today and bought two of the tiffany candle sconces and this pink teapot without a lid to hang on a tree in the yard. All this for only $3.68.........what a deal.

Orovada Store. Sounds like it should be on the border of Oregon, and Nevada. Gas Deli Chorizo and Coffee - what more could one want???????? Orovada is actually in Humboldt County, Nevada. Zip code is same as Winnemucca - 89445. Further information here - www.google.com/search?q=orovada&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8.... Even Wikipedia doesn't have much to say about Orovada.

This general store has been serving customers since 1860. At least that's what they claim. It recently changed owners, but before that there were three old gas pumps outside. It has lots of cool old stuff inside, including an old fashioned pickle barrel, ice chest with glass coke bottles, and cast iron stove.

Shopping Center Row along 120th at the 105 Freeway at Crenshaw Blvd. The first shopping center contained a Lowe's Hardware Store and a Levitz Furniture. Currently a Target Department Store is being built across the street (to the left) of Levitz.
Photos of Levitz during its "Going Out of Business Sale." This Levitz is a new build, opened within the last couple of years. The chain is now closed. Photo taken on January 10, 2008 of the interior of Levitz, at the main entrance to Levitz.
A view of the back. I don't think those boards are going to do much to keep it from leaning. Well, at least they're trying here. This old store was built around 1898 to replace the one you can see across the road that was built in 1856.
I wish someone would step in and save this one's sister up the road at Bertha, it may have already fallen since the last time I was there:

SO glad that Jan told us about Picasso's art store... wow what a wonderful place to visit... just as well I don't like in paris - I think I would like to visit this place too much!
Please Return to A Participating Store for Recycling. It's a nice statement printed on a plastic bag but we all know that it's better to bring in our own bags so that nothing has to be recycled in the first place. I didn't notice this great shadow until I went to walk out the door. I had to go to the car, get my camera and take a couple of photos.
