Soon to close Fresh and Easy supermarket in the City of Murrieta, California, this location opened in 2008 in the corner of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Margarita Road (hence the name ''Margarita Ville Shopping Center'') This location however will be shutting down, most likely by mid November.
This is a photo journey to this store as it nears the end...

Is this picture silly? So many other girls show this type of lingerie shopping picture I thought I'd follow suit. I was at Home Depot, a building supply store, earlier and this was the day all the sales clerks wanted to help me. I tried to use my most feminine voice although I'm not super comfortable conversing yet. Both times I politely said no thank you, I'm doing fine. I certainly couldn't tell if they even suspected that I wasn't female, as they were very polite, both, the man and the woman sales persons. Maybe they just want customers to buy. I suppose that's cynical, I should count my blessings. It sure was thrilling. My only possible mishap this day was a stern look from a young security guard at a different clothing store as I left, having to walk right by him as he scrutinized all the customers. I always try to remember to smile.
In rural Ft Ritner, Indiana the country store was converted to a residence. Little was changed on the exterior other than the removal of the outside stairs. The railroad tracks are behind the store.
Minkler is a small town on the way to Kings Canyon National park (population 30). This little store has been around forever. From chocolate milk to chewing tobacco they have it all. If you have a fast connection, this photo is best viewed in the original size. There are lots of little details that are pretty cool.

A Milwaukee Road 4-6-4 "Baltic" class F-6 and some 4-6-2 Pacifics are stored at Galewood Yard in Chicago in the 1950's Taken by my Dad.

Currently hanging from my ceiling by fishing wire. A word to the wise, don’t ever build anything with Lego that needs to be hung by fishing wire.
The Cordray Drug Store is located at 3827 Ave L, in Galveston, Texas.
Ashley and Michael Cordray, stars of the show "Restoring Galveston" opened the 'rolled' ice cream shop in June 2022.
Judy and I watch the show and were excited to visit the shop. The ice cream was delicious! We look forward to going back.
2 scoops in a cone for me, vanilla will work. I can't be this old. BTW, I sought and got permission to shoot at this location, please don't ruin it for the rest of the world. It is a private collection.

How exciting--a new fabric store opened just up the street from me, and it's so pretty and awesome! I have to go back and make some purchases (this might just happen tomorrow). They have all the new Amy Butler fabrics (plus others, of course) and a few books and notions. They also have six sewing machines in the back, and one of the women in the shop said they'd be offering classes soon. Perhaps I'll have to learn to use a machine--I would like to make myself some skirts.
No felt for sale yet, but they did say that they might have some at some point. I'll cross my fingers.

On 10th January 1971, accident-damaged Southern Railway 4-SUB (Class 405) unit 4292 was stored at Micheldever following withdrawal and awaiting despatch to the breaker's yard. 4292 was from the 4-SUB series introduced in 1948 and completed after Nationalisation in March 1949.

I didn't venture down that aisle right along the front wall, but there it is. The overhead lights are definitely LED, so likely a recent upgrade. Don't know about the funky chrome ceiling :P

Or was it a house? I don't know. It sits just off Maytown Rd. in central Florida.
Wow, this one is driving me crazy. I really love it but have been tweaking the hell out of it. Making little changes, then feeling good about it, then seeing something wrong and doing it all over again.
