Before shopping malls became popular, stores that sold day to day necessities were popular in the Southern United States. They were usually rural and were called general stores. They had items such as flour, sugar, meal, clothing, seeds, and farm supplies. This particular one, looks to have been updated a bit, but still has that rural charm.

An exciting find at the Salvation Army Thrift Store this week for $3.50.

I'll repaint the chair and settee and leave the table and guitar as they are. The Monster High furniture has nice creepy details on them that show up better when painted and aged.

This is my seventh modular building, designed & built in summer 2020. It has around 5500 pieces, and features three businesses: Bakery and Toy Store occupy the ground floor, the second floor is taken up by Benny's Robot & Droid Repair Shop. The top two floors contain one spacious apartment.

Rural general store and pretty much the only retail place in Maybell, Colorado.

Former Galeria Kaufhof (closed in 2020) that was used as a furniture store afterwards which now also closed. The upper two floors are still used by an electronics store.

The ones in this crumble were a mix of Striped Beefing and Jupiter (so a cooker and an eater). Paula used about 20% biscuit crumbs added in the crumble which makes a great luxurious crumble taste.

It was a crazy Memorial Day weekend in Central Texas. The citizens of Lynn's LEGO City were evacuated to the laundry room (interior room) twice because of Tornado activity. The second time, on Memorial Day, was the most scary. Not only was a tornado warning issued but the local tornado sirens were going off. I think I've only heard those sirens 3 times in the 10 years we've lived herel

I'm happy to report that no tornadoes touched ground too close to us and everyone is fine. Angel's store was not damaged, it was simply messed up by me. When the tornado warning was issued, I hastily grabbed my containers of minifigures and the container for Angel's store so I knocked over a few things in the process :-)

Viele Stunden haben wir Elche gesucht und auch am Ende welche gesehen, doch fotografisch nur sehr schwer festzuhalten. Sie waren viel zu weit entfernt. Was blieb war das Naturerlebnis und die wunderschöne Landschaft.

Dann kam KI oder AI und auch der Elch. Mit den Landschaftsbildern von damals konnte ich sehr schön experimentieren und AI ausprobieren. Sie hat mir hier den Elch hineingezaubert.

AI ist ja ein großes Diskussionsthema und birgt natürlich auch Gefahren in der alltäglichen Erlebenswelt. Wenn man ihre Benutzung in der eigenen Fotografie kenntlich macht, ist es meines Erachtens kein "no go", sie in Maßen zu benutzen.

Ich werde aber weiterhin in der Wildnis des Nordens auf die fotografische Elchjagd gehen, denn das Erlebnis ist schon riesig. Das gilt auch wenn sie noch weit weg sind und man sie mit dem bloßen Auge nur als kleine Punkte wahrnehmen kann. In der Tierfotografie muss man neben Kenntnissen, auch Geduld und etwas Glück haben!

This set of old buildings is located must outside the enterance to South Mountain State Park here in NC. I passed this building back in June. I've been wanting to take a photo of it since then. This is known by NC locals as Chapmans Store.

This retail store (skybox) is two floors and open concept, making it feel spacious and inviting.

As you enter the store, you're greeted by the warm, rich tones of the walnut wood tiles that cover the floor. The tiles add a touch of luxury and elegance to the space, and their natural grain patterns give the store a sense of timelessness.
