Opel Olympia Rekord '57
Production 1956 - 1957
"During the four years between 1953 and 1957, Opel recorded production of 582,924 Olympia Rekords, with the rate accelerating markedly in 1957. It was produced at about half the rate of the Volkswagen Beetle. Still, it was repeatedly Germany's second best seller." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Olympia_Rekord
A few attempts here and some help from Andy, meant this finally fell in the water facing the camera...It was camera shy before, and I just had a lot of pictures of the peel!

On the road near São Vicente going to Seixal: With a high tide you can see the waves splashing everywhere, even onto to road. Quite spectacular.

L is for Long Exposure - 2022 Weekly Alphabet Challenge
All week I've been planning on walking down to the beach with my tripod and big stopper, just so I could do a long exposure for this week ... but ... I failed miserably.
It was very windy on the beach today, so this was only a 1/8 second not so long exposure, but it's the best I managed :(
When all else is silent and calm, you can always hear when a pelican takes to the air, and swing the camera round for a shot!
What could be better than shooting an 80mph storm, standing below the sea defences and watching the gales bash that lighthouse? not much can beat that.
Lighthouse at St. Joseph, Michigan from a few weeks ago. I processed in Black and White to accentuate the splashing waves against the walk out to the lighthouse. High winds made for rough water and waves that were probably 8 feet high.
I decided to capture a quick splash image using my speed lights and a softbox behind my subject. Next time I would do more cleanup on the surface because it is a bit sloppy. It was a learning and a play day which may not produce the best results but I am just sharing the process, mistakes, and all.
With the rains commencing again, the photo opportunities aren't as plenteous as they were.... looking back to some photos from earlier in the year now, sometimes amazing what you find that you never edited or posted. Here a beautiful Yellow-rumped Warbler is showing off his splash of yellow!!
