Mare nervoso al Castello del Boccale (Livorno)
Ma anche mare vanitoso, ha voluto a tutti i costi essere immortalato al posto del Castello.

The bright yellow blooms of forsythia in the early spring appear like sunshine in the garden. I am uploading a series of these close-up photos that I experienced with my different lenses to demonstrate their unique effect. Hope you like them :)
This one was taken with Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II + 12 mm Kenko extension tube

This humpback kept slapping its tail on the water over and over again! The whale expert on the boat said the whale probably was doing that to stun the fish! Some whales have learned this behavior! It was amazing how loud the noise was when the tail hit the water!
I have an exciting day today, lots of transect walking for High Brown Fritillary, then at night we're having a glow worm curry event outside up on the common, which should be great fun. Splashing down is by Garnett Silk. this was a late night backwash at Ogmore by sea.
Fishhook Creek splashes through an open area into summer. Hard to find an open area, as willows and vegetation abound on the banks in the high country. Thanks for looking and a happy weekend and holiday to all.
Striated(?) Thornbills have a good splash in the bird bath this afternoon.

"They was a-splishing and a-splashing
Reeling with the feeling
Moving and a-grooving
Rocking and a-rolling, yeah"
At sunset, I arrived just in time to take exactly one photo of light splashing across Half Dome. A second later, the light completely disappeared. For the next ten minutes, the clouds slowly rolled in and the dome completely disappeared.
This was my first time seeing Yosemite in Winter. I fell in love with the park all over again!
