Not quite what I think of as Radicchio, which has usually lost its green by this time of the year, but that is what it is and the distinctive splashes of red are a speciality of Castelfranco (Northern Italy). Mine came from marvellously varied mixed seed...

On the road near São Vicente going to Seixal: With a high tide you can see the waves splashing everywhere, even onto to road. Quite spectacular.

Just liked how aqua green the sea was today showing off the white splashing against the fallen pier

I have an exciting day today, lots of transect walking for High Brown Fritillary, then at night we're having a glow worm curry event outside up on the common, which should be great fun. Splashing down is by Garnett Silk. this was a late night backwash at Ogmore by sea.

The bright yellow blooms of forsythia in the early spring appear like sunshine in the garden. I am uploading a series of these close-up photos that I experienced with my different lenses to demonstrate their unique effect. Hope you like them :)

At sunset, I arrived just in time to take exactly one photo of light splashing across Half Dome. A second later, the light completely disappeared. For the next ten minutes, the clouds slowly rolled in and the dome completely disappeared.

This was my first time seeing Yosemite in Winter. I fell in love with the park all over again!

A beautiful light-colored Alaskan Brown Bear kicks up quite a splash as it strides across the Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alaska.

I decided to use my Muskox post yesterday to kick off a three-shot series of Alaskan wildlife. Here's number two.

Reeling with the feeling

Moving and a-grooving

Rocking and a-rolling, yeah"

Shooting into the sun causes no problem for the Rolleiflex with the right exposure. All the details of that splash can be seen when you enlarge the photograph.

Striated(?) Thornbills have a good splash in the bird bath this afternoon.

This humpback kept slapping its tail on the water over and over again! The whale expert on the boat said the whale probably was doing that to stun the fish! Some whales have learned this behavior! It was amazing how loud the noise was when the tail hit the water!
