One from yesterday ... blue sky, sunshine and wind.
This week in the Definitely Dreaming group, the theme is Calm. So far I've managed to do all the themes on the beach, but this week it is very wet and windy, so this might be as calm as I can get, down on the beach. I have 2 days to get something calmer :)))

Gestern Chili, heute Paprika.
Wasser Marsch! 💦
😃
- It is the first time I have tried this type of photography, although it is not easy, but I liked the result.
- És la primera vegada que provo aquest tipus de fotografia, tot i que no és gens fàcil, m'ha agradat el resultat.

I was recently challenged to create a photo using the theme ”splash”. I had finished shooting the strawberry splash photo I posted previously. I noticed the glossy reflection on the water and the effect as water hit the surface. This was a quick grab shot made as I was cleaning up. The water drops were just from the dripping sponge as I mopped the countertop.
Finally, a sunny day! It's been rainy for so long I feel like moss is growing behind my ears.
Here's an action shot taken several weeks ago of my dog Starley in the river. The surgeon has finally cleared him for excercise. He hates to swim, so it caught me by surprise that he jumped in.
If you look closely you can see the leash on the left, a bit of his head in the middle, and some appendage in the clear water beneath. The camera is half underwater.
Mostly I loved this goofy image for the beautiful splashes coming towards, and landing on, the camera (which is, BTW, waterproof).
Splash Down
Long-tailed duck landing at Barnegat Inlet on 1/23/2020. I enjoy watching these fast flying little ducks landing by simply plopping down and sliding across the water on their breast

Last Monday myself and Mrs M met up with my brother for a walk from Calver to Grindleford and back. The Edges were heaving (not surprising as it was one of the few good days this holiday period).
We got back to the car and the clear blue skies started to fill in, so we drove over Curbar Gap and managed to get a spot in the car park (the roads were congested) for a quick dash up to see the setting sun. The light was briefly very good but it was difficult to compose a shot without getting one of the multitude in frame, and an unexpected shower didn't help with keeping the lens clean.
A good day all round, although Mrs M moaned about having to pay for parking for half an hours stay, and my underestimation of the walks length (I was half right in predicting it was 5 miles!)
And at that moment, I was pretty much sure my camera was gone. Fortunately I only lost the battery grip and got wet.
