A Great Egret smashes its head into the lake a grabs a tiny meal from under the surface.

Water is still very high around Toronto Harbour and Lake Ontario. This wave narrowly missed the camera.

Playing with my new, one-day-old Nikon SB-900. It's a speedlight and it really rocks. I still haven't read the user's manual but I was just trying it out and I came up with this. Do let me know what you guys think cause I'm new to alternate strobe lights and flashes at an angle.

One flash at ground level at 45 degree angle. Shot with a cable release.

Thanks.

Photographed in natural day light.

Did a bit of wave watching while I was on Ballaugh shore. This one was toppling over as it moved to the right. I liked the way the ligh caught some of the drops and the crest of the wave.

Splish...Splash, Nancy thought for sure that I was going to take a bath - or a swim in the ocean.....

While experimenting with dripping water on a tomato, I captured this perfect circular splash. My entry for Flickr Friday, week of August 8 - 14, 2020.

Splash droplets in an aquarium, dry ice and condensation. Looks great enlarged.

Setup included spot lights, water filled aquarium, blue dye and dry ice used for veggie splashes. For fun placed a vase of fresh Cone flowers to get the dry ice "smokey" condensation for these lovely flowers. Great experience and lots of fun.

Thanks everyone for your warm comments, faves and invites. Have a wonderful day.

Yes, really.

I edited the right side of the picture though, cause there was the beach and a resort in it,.

This shot took me about 400 attempts to get, was doing it manually with a water dropper, so wish I had a splash kit!, who says photography is easy!!

Using Splash Art Kit to create this splash. Using the drop tap using red food dye water into a weak solution of blue food dye water into a small cone shape glass bowl.. Using 3 SB200 flash units, one clear, one with blue gel and one with orange gel.

Wave splashing on the rocks at sunset.

My annual upload of a poppy field for Remembrance Sunday, and a splash of red added to my photostream. This display of poppies suddenly appeared opposite Bickton College in south east Devon and was a magnet for local togs throughout its duration in early June. Thanks for looking.

That is because this area is known as " The Splash " !

Shot taken for Saturday Self Challenge 21/08/2021 -- Seats , Benches or Anything Designed To Be Sat On .

Well here we are down at The Splash by the River Mole ( a trip just to get a seat/bench shot for SSC ) with a couple of benches to sit on and watch the river flowing past on it's journey to where it flows into the River Thames . A simple shot for the challenge , started out thinking of all sorts of sitting on things such as the seat of a Harley Davidson , a vintage tractor seat or even an abandoned old loo - alas ( or fortunately as the case may be ) I did not see any of these grand ideas so here we are at my stand-by shot . In the first comment box is a shot of the same two seats taken a while ago in more soggier times !!

As a last thought I have added in the second comment box an alternative something designed to sit on although this was taken some time back

Seems a Mr. N . Young did a tune to fit this scene ---------
