The cookie splash project...
I was waiting for the Easter holidays to execute this... and I hope this start ain't bad :-)
PS : while arranging the shot, I forgot and ate the last cookie that was supposed to be cast in this scene. A date came to rescue :-)
These water splash shots are addictive. I'm still learning and having great fun.
100 Words #3 Addictive
We had fun with splashes in the garden again, I thought I would have a play with adding a texture to it to try and age it a little.
Thanks to rubyblossom. and pareeerica for there wonderful textures.
Splashing the parking lot at Ben T. Davis Municiple Beach in Tampa Florida. The cars were having fun letting the waves hit them as they sat in their cars in the parking lot.

Green grape over the yoghurt splash zone.
The tips are in two flavours.
Flavour #1 - English:
In pictures like this you have to do the following:
#1 Lighs, lights, lights, many of them, to take the picture without flash, because the flash allows only 1/200 (at least my flash). I used 1/320 i guess!
#2 Use a closed aperture (you need much light because of this TOO)
#3 A tripod and a camera remote control would help
#4 Focus the subject and after then, put in manual focus, to the picture get snapped fast
#5 Many tries, don't give up UNTIL you don't get the expected result
#6 There is a delay between you press the button and the picture is taken in fact, so the order is: release the object, press the shutter button just before it completly touch the splash area
#7 If you are using very hot lamps, be careful, do not let the liquid stay in touch with the lamps
#8 Dilute the yoghurt in water, if you not do it so, the splash will be very "heavy" and won't spread the little drop balls
#9 Do some tests letting the object fall behind the splash zone before really splash, or your house will be run out of yoghurt! And don't do with milk, believe-me.
#10 HAVE FUN !!

Like green heron, snowy egret is a good hunter too. Green heron usually walks on beach in a crouch in searching of prey. Snowy usually stands in shallow water looking for prey. Once it's ready to hunt, it jumps in unexpected directions to confuse its prey. It's a joy to watch them hunt.

First attempt. Not enough splash! I figured it was due to the size, so went back and got a bigger (and hopefully better) mug. This was the result :)
